is Pakistan’s first official trail running event, organized by the pioneer running community every year. The first edition was held in November 2018, the second edition in April 2024, and the third edition in April 2025. It is an annual calendar race event taking place in the Margalla Hills National Park. The beauty of this event lies in showcasing the true charm of the Margalla Hills, where participants get to explore four main trails, along with a section of Pirsohawa Road and Margalla Road. Since the inception of the Margalla Hills Marathon, we have been promoting the cause of sustaining the national park's ecosystem, which is vital both for us and for the wildlife we share the world with. We also highlight the importance of planting trees and raise our voice against deforestation.

Despite the tough weather, steep climbs, and long distances, their team members were stationed at different points to make sure every runner stayed safe and supported throughout the race.

The 3rd Margalla Hills Half Marathon brought together the UAE Ambassador to Pakistan, many diplomats, foreigners, and local runners, turning it into a true celebration of community and sport. Their presence made the event a gathering of diverse people, all connected by their shared love for running.

Over 250 runners took on breathtaking trails, and for the first time, we introduced live timing with RFID technology. Watching your results come in live made the day even more exciting for everyone involved.

A massive congratulations to everyone who faced the heat, the hills, and the trails with true passion and grit. You showed what it means to push through challenges and inspired the entire trail running community.
