35th National Games, originally scheduled to be held in Karachi from May 1 to 9, 2025, have been postponed due to "unavoidable circumstances," as confirmed by the Sindh Olympic Association on April 17, 2025 . The organizing secretary, Ahmed Ali Rajput, has advised all provincial sports bodies, military departments, and stakeholders to halt preparations until new dates are announced.

The 35th National Games of Pakistan are scheduled to take place in Karachi from May 1 to 9, 2025. This marks the first time in 18 years that Sindh is hosting the National Games, with the event being organized by the Sindh Olympic Association (SOA) in collaboration with the Sindh government .
Participants: Approximately 10,000 male and female athletes and officials are expected to participate. Teams will represent all provinces and regions, including Sindh, Punjab, Balochistan, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Islamabad, Azad Jammu and Kashmir, and Gilgit-Baltistan. Departmental teams from the Pakistan Army, Air Force, Navy, WAPDA, Railways, Police, and the Higher Education Commission will also compete .
Ceremonies: The opening and closing ceremonies are expected to be attended by President Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif. The torch relay will be inaugurated by PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto-Zardari and Sindh Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah .
Facilities & Services: The Sindh government has ensured comprehensive arrangements, including enhanced security, medical facilities with doctors and ambulances at all venues, and dedicated committees for media coverage .
This event is a significant milestone for Sindh, aiming to elevate local athletes to international standards and promote sports across the province.
