We have come a long way. Progressive Fitness started up between three friends as a means to motivate us and those around us to lead a healthier lifestyle. Along the way, it became a movement for us.
The core principles of Progressive Fitness were simple, we wanted to lead a healthier lifestyle, not just by exercising but also to progress within the spectrum of our respective businesses and within the realm of knowledge. During the year, we witnessed our short-comings, the barriers to our growth professionally as well as physically, and set targets to bypass those barriers. The partners also invested in books, jokingly naming it The Progressive Library and began sharing books currently owned and purchasing new ones.
Building upon the core principle of growing the knowledge base, we are shifting our focus from providing a class based structure to a discussion based forum. As mentioned earlier, the partners are growing within their businesses, the time commitment required to provide fitness based classes is simply out of question for us. We will be updating soon as to our goals moving forward and how we plan to engage our followers and assist them in achieving the core principles of this movement. We hope to be able to leave an impact through Progressive Fitness in the same manner it has impacted the three friends who started this movement.

Muscle up tips!
MUSCLE UP TRAINING TIP
One of the key's to getting above the bar is about the height of the first pull.
Fulling high enough so that sternum or bottom of your chester is in line or above the bar is essential in your being able to get through the transition and shift your body forward to the bottom of a straight bar dip position.
If you don't pull high enough, you try to transition forward your chest hits the bar rather than placing it on top of the bar and the Muscle Up staying in the 'impossible box'!
Getting that high height is all about the power in your pulling.
Remember;
Power = Strength x Speed (velocity)
Working on both your pulling strength with weighted pull ups but also the SPEED of your pull using resistance bands!
