We are delighted to share the great news that Ms. 𝗦𝘆𝗲𝗱𝗮 𝗔𝗿𝗼𝗼𝗯 𝗦𝗵𝗮𝗵 (Pakistan Cricketer), a student of BBA Department at SSUET - Sir Syed University of Engineering & Technology , Karachi, has been shortlisted for the prestigious FISU Student Ambassadors Programme 2026/27, representing Pakistan.

The International University Sports Federation (FISU) invited its member associations and continental associations to nominate suitable students for the FISU Student Ambassadors Programme 2026/27. Following the invitation, the Higher Education Commission (HEC), Pakistan called upon universities across Pakistan to nominate suitable and deserving students for this prestigious international programme.

Responding to the HEC invitation, the Sports Department of Sir Syed University of Engineering and Technology nominated Ms. Syeda Aroob Shah as the University's candidate.

We are extremely proud to share that Ms. Aroob Shah has been shortlisted by FISU for the 2026/27 programme, becoming a representative of Pakistan at this international platform. 🇵🇰🌍

# # # 🌍 About the FISU Student Ambassadors Programme

The programme aims to increase the participation and involvement of university students in FISU activities and events and promote the values of FISU and University Sports.

Following the training session, FISU Student Ambassadors will be involved in developing and delivering activities with their respective National University Sports Federations (NUSFs) or Continental University Sports Federations (CUSFs), while supporting the development and promotion of university sport in their home countries and/or continents.

This achievement reflects the talent, potential and commitment of SSUET students, as well as the University's continued efforts to provide students with opportunities beyond the classroom and to promote sports, leadership, personal development and international engagement.

🇵🇰🏑 PAKISTAN U-21 — A PROUD MOMENT FOR SSUET!🏆

Pakistan’s U-21 Boys Hockey Team has made a remarkable impact at the U-21 Asia Cup 2026, securing consecutive victoriesband qualifying for the Semi-Final.

Even more importantly, Pakistan have secured qualification for the FIH Junior World Cup 2027! 🌍🏆

This achievement is a matter of immense pride for SSUET - Sir Syed University of Engineering & Technology , as our very own Olympian Syed Sameer Hussain, Coach of the SSUET Hockey Team, is serving as the Head Coach of Pakistan’s Junior U-21 Hockey Team.

Under the guidance of Head Coach Olympian Sameer Hussain, the Green Shirts have shown tremendous discipline, skill, unity and fighting spirit, defeating Kazakhstan, China and Malaysia

🏆 SSUET BOYS ROAR TO 3rd POSITION! 💪🔥

What a performance by our SSUET Boys Tug of War Team! 🥉👏

The SSUET - Sir Syed University of Engineering & Technology Boys Tug of War Team proudly secured 3rd Position in the Shahida Shoaib Rizvi Inter-Colleges / Universities Tug of War Championship, organized by the Karachi Tug of War Association.

After a thrilling and closely fought Semi-Final against the eventual champions, Govt. College for Men, Nazimabad, our boys refused to give up. They bounced back with determination and dominated the 3rd Position Match, defeating Govt. Premier College in a comfortable manner. 💪🔥

🏆 A Proud Closing Ceremony

The closing ceremony was graced by Chief Guest Mr. Ahmed Ali Rajput, Secretary, Sindh Olympic Association, and Ms. Shahida Shoaib Rizvi, Ex-Sports Producer, PTV. They presented the 3rd Position Trophy to SSUET Captain M. Abdullah, while the Chief Guest and other dignitaries presented medals to our team players. 🏆🥉

The SSUET representatives- Convener Sports Squadron Leader (R) Nafees Ahmad Rabbani, Chairman CS&IT Dr. M. Kashif Shaikh, Director SP&D Engr. Osama Ahmed, DSA Engr. Hasan Zaki and CSO Mr. Pervaiz Iqbal were also warmly welcomed by the officials and members of the Sindh Tug of War Association and Karachi Tug of War Association.

Our heartfelt appreciation goes them, along with the Sports Department staff and students, for being present and encouraging the team.

🏆🔥 SSUET BOYS REACH THE SEMI-FINALS! 💪

AlHamDoLilLah! The SSUET Boys Team has made it to the Semi-Finals of the Shahida Shoaib Rizvi Inter-Colleges/Universities Tug of War Championship, organized by the Karachi Tug of War Association.

With 21 teams competing in the championship, SSUET has shown outstanding strength, determination, and team spirit! 💪

🔹 First Match:
SSUET defeated Govt. College Gulshan-e-Iqbal, Block 7 — 2–0 pulls.

🔹 Quarter-Final:
SSUET defeated University of Karachi University — 2–0 pulls.

🏆 SSUET GIRLS MAKE THEIR MARK! 💪

The SSUET Girls Team proudly participated in the Shahida Shoaib Rizvi Inter-Colleges/Universities Tug of War Championship, organized by the Karachi Tug of War Association on 8th September 2026.

🔥 With 25 teams competing in a knockout-based format, SSUET Girls showed great determination and team spirit and faced the University of Karachi in quarter final.

Although the journey ended in the quarter-finals, this was a remarkable first appearance for the SSUET Girls Team in such a large-scale and competitive event.

👏 Proud of our girls for stepping up, competing with confidence, and representing SSUET with pride!
