Mr. Akshay Pandya, President Council of Canada Masters Cricket, hosted a dinner at his residence yesterday.

The gathering was attended by Mr. Stirling Hamman, Chairman IMC, Mr. Fawad Ijaz Khan, Chairman PVCA, representatives of other participating countries at the IMC Over-60s World Cup and former international umpires Steve Bucknor and Billy Bowden.

PVCA extends its appreciation to Mr. Akshay Pandya and the Council of Canada Masters Cricket for their hospitality and for fostering the spirit of camaraderie that defines Veterans Cricket.

Pakistan Over-60s side has been eliminated from the IMC Over-60s World Cup 2026 after suffering a two-wicket defeat to New Zealand in a tightly contested Semi-Final, played yesterday.

After opting to bat first, Pakistan recovered from an early wobble at 12-4 to post a fighting 192-8, thanks to a steadying stand between Saghir Abbas (36) and Babar Altaf Butt (31) and a late unbeaten flourish of 46 from Syed Zafar Ali. New Zealand were made to work hard for their target, with Babar Altaf Butt striking early and Shahid Ahmed taking two wickets, but the Kiwis edged home in 43.4 overs, losing eight wickets in the process. Mason Robinson was named Player of the Match for his quality knock of 57 runs.

Pakistan Over-60s have secured their place in the IMC Over-60s World Cup 2026 Semi-Finals, finishing level on 8 points with South Africa and progressing based on a superior net run rate.

Pakistan's Over-60s Team suffered a 135-run defeat to Australia in their last group match of the IMC Over-60s World Cup 2026, played yesterday at Iceland Cricket Ground, Mississauga. With the knockout spot effectively assured beforehand, Pakistan's team management used the fixture against Australia to rest four of their frontline players, which will be back in action in the Semi-Final.

Pakistan will take on New Zealand in the second Semi-Final today. The match will start at 7pm Pakistan Standard Time. Green Shirts are committed to put in a strong performance and book their place in the Final. 🇵🇰

Pakistan Over-60s Team registered a six-wicket win over South Africa at Andrew McCandless Cricket Ground yesterday, moving to the brink of a Semi-Final spot at the IMC Over-60s World Cup 2026.

Put in to bat, South Africa were held to 133-8 by a disciplined Pakistan attack, with Saghir Abbas and Jaffar Qureshi picking up two wickets apiece. Chasing 134, Sajid Ali (38) and Saghir Abbas (34) added a half-century stand for the second wicket to guide Pakistan home, reaching the target in 33.2 overs with six wickets in hand. Saghir Abbas was named Player of the Match.

Pakistan will face Australia in their last group game tomorrow, with a Semi-Final spot within touching distance.

Pakistan Over-60s side secured a comfortable five-wicket win over hosts Canada in their fourth match of the IMC Over-60s World Cup 2026.

Put in to bat, Canada leaned heavily on skipper Graham Castanheiro, who struck a superb 107 off 118 balls with 8 fours to lift the hosts to 201-7 in their 45 overs. Syed Zafar Ali was the pick of the Pakistan bowlers, returning figures of 3-31 from his nine overs, while Mahfooz Ullah Khan chipped in with 2-39.

In reply, Pakistani openers Mazhar Hussain (60 off 60) and Sajid Ali (62 off 72) put on a century stand to lay the platform and Muhammad Ashraf Pakhali's quick 30 kept the momentum going. Saghir Abbas with his unbeaten 39 off 52 balls steered Pakistan home with five wickets and more than seven overs to spare, wrapping up the chase at 202-5 in 37.3 overs. Graham Castanheiro grabbed two wickets and was named Player of the Match for his splendid all-round performance.

Pakistan Over-60s side will play its next match against South Africa today.

Pakistan continued their campaign at the IMC Over-60s World Cup with a convincing seven-wicket victory over Sri Lanka at Max Ward Memorial Park North Ground yesterday.

Pakistan skipper Fawad Ijaz Khan after winning the toss elected to field first. Pakistan restricted Sri Lanka to 188-6 in 45 overs, with Saghir Abbas, Babar Altaf Butt, Muhammad Jaffar Qureshi and Syed Zafar Ali picking up one wicket each. In reply, Pakistan made a confident start through Mazhar Hussain (55 off 54) before Raja Arshad Hayat anchored the chase with a superb unbeaten 80 off 87 balls, including six fours and four sixes. Resultantly, Pakistan reached the target in just 34.3 overs losing three wickets in the process. Raja Arshad Hayat was nominated as Player of the Match for his outstanding knock.

Pakistan will play its next match against the hosts Canada on 17 August.
