Waqar Ahmed and Tariq Iqbal, the two Pakistani brothers, are representing the Rest of the World team in the ongoing IMC Over-70s World Cup in Christchurch, New Zealand.
Waqar Ahmed, in particular, has delivered commendable performances, claiming eight wickets in four innings at an average of 16.1. His standout spells include 4-36 against Sri Lanka and 3-38 against England, underlining his consistency and impact. Waqar Ahmed was also part of the Pakistan squad that won the IMC Over-60s World Cup 2022 in Brisbane, Australia.
Pakistan currently does not have an Over-70s team, but Pakistan Veterans Cricket Association is actively working towards its formation, and we are hopeful to see a national Over-70s side established within the next 2–3 years.

Faraz Sports Sialkot and Kokab Butt Memorial Islamabad secure place in the the North Zone Final of the 26th National Seniors Cup 2025-26.
Faraz Sports Sialkot outclass Mustafa Seniors Bahawalpur by a massive margin of 283 runs in the Semi-Final. Faraz Sports after batting first put up a mammoth total of 391-7 in their allotted 30 overs. Hafiz Aqib top scored with 144(78), wheras Kashif Daud played a breathtaking knock of 130 runs off just 34 balls. In reply, Mustafa Seniors Bahawalpur got bundled out for 108 runs in the 17th over. Kashif Daud was impressive with the ball as well grabbing five wickets, whereas Captain Suleman took four wickets.
In the other Semi-Final, Kokab Butt Memorial Islamabad after being invited to bat first by Sparco Paints Lahore assembled 219-7. Alamgeer Khan scored 61 runs off 45 balls. Mian Irfan grabbed four wickets. In their chase, Sparco Paints Lahore fought hard but got all-out in the last over at 212 runs thus losing the contest by a bare 7 runs margin. Asher Nazir scored a fifty. Alamgeer Khan claimed three wickets to take the Islamabad side into the Zonal Final.
The North Zone winner will play against the South Zone winner in the National Final which will be played in Lahore.

The Semi-Final lineup in the Northern Zone for the 26th National Seniors Cup 2025–26 has been confirmed after Faraz Sports defeated Zahoor Sports by six wickets in the last regional quarter-final.
Zahoor Sports after being invited to bat first scored a total of 236-7 in their 30 overs. Nouman Sarwar scored a magnificent century ending the innings unbeaten at 109 runs off 63 balls. Captain Suleman took two wickets.
In reply, Adnan Butt, Nabeel Malik and Kashif Daud scored half-centuries to take Faraz Sports over the line with a comfortable win, finishing the chase in the 27th over.
Sparco Paints Lahore will take on Kokab Butt Memorial Islamabad in the first zonal Semi-Final. Whereas, Faraz Sports Sialkot will lock horns with Mustafa Seniors Bahawalpur in the second zonal Semi-Final. Both the Semi-Finals will take place on 15th February 2026. Notably, none of the four teams has previously won the title, ensuring that a new zonal champion will be crowned this year.

Mirpur Khas Seniors secured a spot in the Final of the Interior Sindh leg of the 26th National Seniors Cup after defeating Dadu Seniors by six wickets in the first Semi-Final of the tournament.
Dadu Seniors, batting first, posted a total of 179-8. Ghulam Bughio was the top scorer with a brilliant knock of 79 runs off just 38 balls. Raza took three wickets, while Khalil Ahmed claimed two wickets.
In reply, Mirpur Khas Seniors chased down the target in the final over, losing four wickets in the process. Ghulam Muhammad led his side to victory with a well-made 55 off 40 balls.

Gladiators beat Airport Gymkhana by nine wickets in the 10th match of the ongoing 1st Over-60s One Day Cup 2025–26.
Batting first, Airport Gymkhana posted 221 for 8 in 35 overs. Jawaid Iqbal played a steady knock of 41 off 28 balls, while Tahir Gul and Imran supported the innings by scoring 40 runs each. For Gladiators, Ghulam Muhammad bowled a disciplined spell, picking up 3 for 35 and Saleem Ashraf chipped in with 2 for 30.
In reply, Gladiators made the chase look comfortable, reaching 222 for 1 in just 20.5 overs. The highlight of the match was a brilliant century by Mazhar Hussain, who smashed 104 off 64 balls, showing class and control throughout. He was well supported by Ashraf Pakhali, who scored a fluent 64(35).
With this result, RIMS Seniors continue to lead the table with 5 wins from 5 matches and 10 points. Omar Associates hold second place with 6 points, while Gladiators remain third with 4 points after five matches. Airport Gymkhana are still winless and placed fourth on the points table.

Dadu Seniors won their contest against Hyderabad Blues by seven wickets in the ongoing Interior Sindh's leg of 26th National Seniors Cup.
Hyderabad Blues after choosing to bat first scored 207-6 in their innings. Shahzad was the top-scorer with his quick fire knock of 76 runs off 44 balls. Abdul Sattar took four wickets.
In reply, Khalid Mehmood powered the chase for Dadu Seniors with a sublime century to his name. He scored 104 runs off just 46 balls to take his side over the line with a comfortable victory and was declared Player of the Match.

Sanghar Seniors won the second match of the 26th National Seniors Cup in Interior Sindh, defeating Shaheed Benazirabad Seniors by 17 runs.
After being invited to bat first, Sanghar Seniors posted 199 for 4 in their 20 overs. Zeeshan Ali and Jan Muhammad scored half-centuries. In reply, Shaheed Benazirabad Seniors were bowled out for 182. Hameed played a valiant knock of 63 runs, but it wasn’t enough to take his side home with a victory. Abdul Khalique shone with the ball, grabbing three wickets for Sanghar Seniors.

Kokab Butt Memorial Veterans Islamabad cemented their place in the North Zone Semi-Finals of the 26th National Seniors Cup after defeating Friends Veterans Peshawar by 54 runs in the third regional quarter-final.
Batting first, Kokab Butt Memorial Veterans posted 254-4 in 30 overs. Tahir Naeem top-scored with 82, while Kashif Majeed also struck a half-century. Zahid Khan took 2 wickets.
Friends Veterans Peshawar got all-out for 200 runs in the 26th over of their chase. Muhammad Khan offered some resistance with his knock of 71 runs. Sohail Khan grabbed four wickets to lead the Islamabad side to a win.

Mirpur Khas Seniors secured a comfortable seven-wicket win over Badin Seniors in the first encounter of the Interior Sindh leg of the 26th National Seniors Cup.
Badin Seniors, after batting first posted a total of 171-5 in their 20 overs. Faqeer Muhammad played a quality knock of 79 runs off 53 balls. Abdul Rahim took three wickets for Mirpur Khas side.
In reply, Mirpur Khas Seniors smoothly chased the required target in the 17th over, losing three wickets in the process. Lala Arif made an unbeaten 54 runs off 32 balls.
