Boom!!! It was raining 6's and 4's as Mavs plundered 308-2 in the allotted 20 overs against Vikings at the Race Course Cricket Ground. 24 6's and 22 4's in the innings set the tone for the match, led by Fahd Butt 53 (29), Uzair Ali 95 (48), Shaheer Langrial 101* (38) and Ehtesham Ahmed 33* (7). It was indeed a memorable resumption of the season for a rejuvenated side. Vikings could only manage to get 187-4 in their allotted 20 🤜🏼 🤘🏼

Another win for team Mavericks as Malik Shaheer Langrial "One-Man Army" demolishes Take-Off in their second tie this Saturday. The Green Acres ground provided a fitting backdrop for the game on a receptive pitch for both bat and ball.

Take-Off decided to bat first but tight bowling and pensive batting pegged them back, managing to score only 190-7 in the allotted 30 overs. Debutants Umer and Bilal took 4 wickets between them, with Hassan Ahmed taking two with his off-spin and one run-out off the last ball. Haseeb top scored for Take-Off with 58 off 46 balls.

In reply, Malik Shaheer Langrial "One-Man Army" unleashed his onslaught from the first ball and scored 127 off only 67 balls, hitting 12 sixes and 9 fours in his innings. Mavericks finished the match in 21.4 overs with 8 wickets remaining. Hassan Shamim, visiting from London made his Mavs debut scoring 3* off 2 balls.

Mavericks lose their first game of the season to Bulldozers in a lacklustre day. A revised batting order, after defeating Bulldozers 6 on the trot, couldn't gain momentum against a rejuvenated Ahsan Lone and Co. who bowled a tight line to restrict any meaningful partnership and bowled Mavericks out for 173. In reply, Bulldozers finished the game in 25 overs with the loss of four wickets.

Mavericks are now 6-1-1 for the season.

Match #7: Its a TIE!! What a thriller between Mavericks and AJR this Sunday at Model Town Greens Cricket Club! Put in to bat first on a seemingly day 4 pitch, the Mavs batting delivered a fighting total thanks to Captain Farrukh Hanif aka "The Legend"s sublime 90 off 88 balls. Supported ably by Malik Shaheer Langrial(30), Haroon Naseer Khan(34), Mavs were pecked back by impressive bowling by Kamran Riaz (6-32-2) before some crisp hitting by Ammar Zaim (40 off 23) and Rana Ehtesham Ahmed(15* off 4 balls) to end the innings at 227-4 in 30 overs.

Despite frequent breakthroughs, Mavs could not close the game early, as fielding lapses at crucial moments kept oscillating the game back and forth. A defiant Khurram Riaz scored 80 off 55 balls as wickets kept tumbling regularly for AJR. Needing 11 to win off the last over with one wicket remaining, Mavs dropped a crucial chance at long on to give another life to team AJR. They made up for the error and tied the game with one ball to go before Haroon Naseer Khan (2-53) managed to get Hafiz Sajjad LBW off the last ball to bowl AJR 227 all out. Haider Goraya (3-48) was the unluckiest bowler with 3 chances going down off his bowling. Shaheer (3-31) and Ammar (1-40) were the other bowlers to register wickets with one run out.
