Celebrating International Day of Sign Language 23 September
The UN General Assembly has proclaimed 23 September as the International Day of Sign Languages in order to raise awareness of the importance of sign language in the full realization of the human rights of people who are deaf.

A talented Grade 9th student from Karachi, Ahmad Jamal Khan, has developed an app for speech impairment people to communicate with others through the apps just by tapping on some buttons.
He has refused to keep any benefit from it as it is a free and ad-less app. The name of the app is “Kya Baat App” and it is available on Android Play Store and can be downloaded using apk on iPhones.
“Kya Baat is specially designed for people who are unable to communicate verbally because of certain conditions like stroke or tracheostomy. With the tap on a button, the users of this app will be able to communicate with others, especially their caregivers.”

آج ہم ایک عظیم راہنما جو کہ سماعت و گویائی سے محروم بچوں کے چچا تھے اور ہمارے قابل صد احترام جناب لودھی صاحب جنھوں نے دیوا جیسے عظیم ادارے کی بنیاد رکھ کر ڈیف ایجوکیشن میں ایک نئے باب کا آغاز کیا ان کی راہنمائی اور کاوشوں سے تعلیم اور بحالی سماعت و گویائی بچوں کے اس ادرے نے ، کالج اور یونیورسٹی کی تعلیم کو ڈیف بچوں کے لیے ممکن بنایا اور انکی بحالی کے لیے ساتھ ساتھ کئ پراجکٹ نہ صرف خود قائم کے بلکہ دیگر افراد کو بھی راغب کروایا اور شب و روز ایک کرکے دیوا کو سنٹر آف اکسیلینسز بنایا مجھے فخر رہے گا کہ انھوں نے مجھے بہن بنایا اور پھر اپنے گھر میں ایک فرد کی طرح جگہ دی میری پیشہ ورانہ زندگی میں راہنمائی فرمائی مجھے کراچی کے تقریباً تمام خصوصی بچوں کے اداروں میں جانے کے مواقع فراہم کیے ۔میں نے جو بھی مقام پایا اس کا کریڈٹ ان کی راہنمائی پر جاتا ہے ،اج وہ ہم سے جدا ہوگئے ،ان کی کمی ہمیشہ محسوس رہے گی ،اللہ سبحان تعالیٰ انکی مغفرت فرمائے اور ان کے درجات بلند فرمائے آمین
