LSE sports gala 2014: LSE 4 - 2 Fast NU.
The LSE team continued its excellent run of form and qualified for Sunday's final with a convincing win against Fast. Hassan Sandhu opened the home team's account before Hassan Imran doubled LSE's advantage with a well placed shot. Omer Khan(German) made it 3-0 before halftime and while the guests pulled 2 goals back in the second half, LSE secured the win with a lightening counter-play finished off by German.

Result: 1 - 1
Scorer: Sandhu via penalty corner

The LSE hockey team has run out of luck. Donations in any form, irrespective of their quantity, would be greatly appreciated. We were beaten by two goals to one against lums. Scorer: hassan sandhu.
Today we squandered a two goal lead against FAST and the match finished at 2-2 . Sandhu and tamiur aziz scored. In this game we won atleast 10 penalty corners but failed to convert any of them partly because of FAST's football-style defending, not that we're using that as an excuse. The referee didn't call 3 sure shot penalty strokes, but that's life!
We also missed several chances against lums while both their goals came through counterattacks and lackluster defending. We were the dominant team, especially in the second half, but lady luck deserted us much like most of the ladies we've ever known.

We were beaten 4-6 in a friendly against UMT. The match was held in preparation for the LUMS tri-series this weekend and so we experimented with new players and different formations. Omer khan aka German who is the carbon copy of wwe superstar Sheamus and mildly resembles Archie from Archie comics was extremely impressive on debut scored a brilliant brace which included a solid conversion within a minute of his introduction into the game. Captain hassan sandhu (came in in the last 5 minutes as he was managing the team from the sidelines before) and omair bashir scored one goal apiece. Omair's goal was an unstoppable hit from a penalty corner while sandhu dodged 3 players before scoring a classy field goal.

We have a LUMS Tri-series coming up in next week and we are going for a win! So our only focus is LUMS Tri-series trophy for that we need more practices to gain our confidence!
We organizes two camps and a match against FAST most probably so do your BEST! It is mandatory to attend both camps and a match if you want to play LUMS Tri-series! Selection will purely based on the performance! Times and days will update soon
