The Department of Physical Education and Sports Sciences warmly welcomed the newly admitted students of the 1st Semester, Fall 2026 batch. As a gesture of goodwill, the department presented souvenir T‑shirts to the students, symbolizing their inclusion into the academic and sporting community.

The event was graciously headed by the Chairman, Dr. Shahzaman Khan, accompanied by esteemed faculty and staff members: Dr. Nisar Ahmed Khaskheli (Assistant Professor / Coordinator), Mr. Muhammad Hashim Darya (Lecturer), Mr. Asad Hussain Shaikh (Deputy Director Sports), Mr. Gul Habib (Athletic Demonstrator), Mr. Zubair Ahmed (Gymnastic Demonstrator), and Mr. Abdul Wahid Shaikh (Administrative Officer).

The faculty and staff extended their full support to the new entrants, assuring them of the department’s commitment to nurturing both their academic and sporting skills, while also guiding them towards future employment opportunities.

The Sukkur IBA University Women’s Badminton Team delivered an impressive performance at the Independence Day Girls Sports Festival 2026, securing third position in the badminton category. Organized jointly by the Women Sports Academy Sukkur and the Sports and Youth Affairs Department, Government of Sindh, the festival witnessed spirited competition among talented athletes.

The Sukkur IBA University players showcased exceptional skill, teamwork, and determination, securing a bronze medal through their tactical prowess in high-intensity matches. Vice Chancellor, Prof. Dr. Asif Ahmed Shaikh, lauded the team’s achievement and encouraged continued participation in such events to promote healthy lifestyles and sporting excellence.

The tournament concluded with medals and merit certificates being awarded to the Sukkur IBA University players. The team was accompanied by Mr. Asad Hussain Shaikh, Deputy Director Sports, and Mr. Zubair Ahmed, Coach, who supported and guided the players throughout the event.

Today, our juniors arranged a farewell match for us seniors and it was everything we didn’t know we needed.

From the first whistle to the last laugh, it wasn’t just a game. It was years of brotherhood, late-night training, wins, losses, and memories all wrapped into one evening.

Grateful for this team, this field, and this moment. Once a senior, always part of the squad. 💚⚽
