A snippet of what we trained during the Close Engagement Shooter - a training session for firearm owners.

1️⃣ We learned techniques for transitioning behind the attacker and taking them down to the ground for control and neutralization.
2️⃣ A stopping kick to create time and distance for weapon retrieval.

🎯 The goal of these 5 hours of training was to make participants aware that fi****ms and purely shooting skills without basic hand-to-hand combat abilities do not provide any advantage on the street. In self-defense, we are often caught off guard, sometimes lacking time to raise our hand, let alone "dig out" the weapon from under our clothes (unless you walk around with open carry on the street). Time to react and distance from the attacker are crucial elements that give us a chance to survive! 💪💥
