Krakow Dragoons FC

A well-earned draw, but it really could have been so much more. ⚽️

An early mistake cost the Dragoons dearly as we fell behind despite starting fairly well.

However, a sublime piece of magic from midfield magician Enrico Forabosco 🇮🇹 put Jeremi Wabiński 🇵🇱 through to slot home an equaliser before the break. 🎯

The ageless Italian was at it again after the restart to put the Expats ahead, forcing an own goal following some great pressure. 🪄

Missed chances would ultimately prove costly, though. With Trzebol turning the screw late on, Marcin Obyrtacz 🇵🇱 pulled off some huge stops, but a late penalty saw the visitors grab a point to punish our poor game management. 📉

A tough one to swallow, but a solid point against the league leaders.

Thank you to everyone who came out to support us today! Enjoy the rest of your weekend.

🎖 MAN OF THE MATCH 🎖

Jeremi Wabiński 🇵🇱 takes home the crown after an absolute shift for the Expats! 🐉

Playing up front, Jeri put in a tireless display of non-stop battling, running, and being a constant, unmitigated nuisance to the Bratniak defence all evening. 🔋🐇

Running around like an Energiser Bunny, he got his reward in the 28th minute. Latching onto Enrico Forabosco's 🇮🇹 interception, he ruthlessly drilled an effort into the corner of the net for his first Dragoons goal! 🚀⚽️

A selfless, energetic performance topped off with a maiden goal, a thoroughly deserved MOTM! 👏👑

Special flowers also go to Mateo Lopez 🇨🇴, who stepped up massively in the second half. Shifted to left-back after the red card, Mateo put in a proper job for the team to help us see out a crucial victory! 💐💪

Gratulacje, Jeri! 🇵🇱🔥

EARLY BATH ALERT! 🚿🟥

Coach Gonçalo Ferreira 🇵🇹 asked for calm and to keep things tight in the second half... but Szymon Urzędowski 🇵🇱 clearly missed the memo! 😅

Just minutes after the restart in the second half, Szymon was adjudged to have pulled back a Bratniak attacker 40 metres out. With the referee deciding he was the last man, out came the red card to end his evening.

This one has divided opinion across the Dragoons sphere, though. Harsh call 40 yards from goal, or a clear-cut red card by the letter of the law?

Check out the footage and give us your verdict in the comments! 👍or 👎

FLAVIO MAKES IT THREE! ⚽️

Mirko Barile 🇮🇹 collects the ball deep in our half, Rob Smits 🇳🇱 threads the needle, and Flavio Nkola 🇦🇴 is in on goal.

The Angolan holds his nerve, picking out the bottom corner for his 4th goal of the season. 3-0 at the break...🔥

NEVER REFUSE A GIFT! 🎁

Bratniak’s defenders decided to play Russian roulette by their own penalty box.

Enrico Forabosco 🇮🇹 intercepted a suicidal pass and teed up Jeremi Wabiński 🇵🇱, who smashed across the keeper and into the net. 🎯

First goal for the club in style! 🔥

OLD BUT GOLD 🥇👴⚽️

For the first time in a while, Captain Enrico Forabosco 🇮🇹 wasn't the oldest human being on the pitch. all thanks to Bratniak fielding 80-year-old Andrzej Piwowarczyk!

Feeling like a spring chicken by comparison, our midfield magician stepped up to a 20-metre set-piece in the 21st minute. Enrico cast a spell over the set-piece, producing an effort that left the keeper with a moment to forget as the ball squeezed beneath his dive and into the net.

It might not win Goal of the Season, but that’s three free-kick goals this campaign for the evergreen Italian!

Not bad for a bloke who was already well past his bedtime before kickoff. ☕️🛏️😜
