That’s a wrap on the World Match Racing Tour Pornichet! 🇫🇷

This event was all about the bigger picture for us. We experimented with position changes on board, and the initial signs are very promising!

The competition was fierce. After narrowly missing out on the quarter finals by losing a tiebreak on head-to-head results, we entered the recharge round in high spirits. We won the first match convincingly, but in the second, a costly mistake unfortunately saw us give away a comfortable lead.

A tough lesson learned. There is still plenty of work to be done, but we're excited for the future to see if these changes pay off. On to the next one!

Bittersweet feelings after the final day in Ledro.

We sailed a strong Round Robin, learning from our mistakes and improving throughout the group stages. Reaching the semifinals, we faced a tough opponent in Eric Monnin and his team. Congratulations to them on taking the win and claiming the event title.

In the petit final, we narrowly lost 2–1 to Riccardo Seppe and his team. It’s a frustrating result, as we feel there was more in it for us. Unfortunately, a few costly mistakes under pressure made the difference.

That leaves us with mixed emotions. On one hand, we scored valuable points and showed good progress throughout the event. On the other, a podium finish felt within reach, which makes missing out all the more disappointing.

A big thank you to the organizers, volunteers, umpires, and everyone involved in making this event possible. Everything was exceptionally well organized, and the hospitality made us feel truly welcome. We’d love to be back next year!

Our second day here at the WMRT stage in Ledro was tough, but a good one!

We faced some fierce competition today and had to fight hard in every match. After five matches, we managed to come away with three wins.

This keeps us in the fight for the top spots. There’s still plenty to play for, so we’ll keep pushing and give it everything we’ve got!

First day of racing here in Ledro, and what a stunning place it is!

As always, the lake delivered some tricky conditions, with big wind shifts and significant pressure differences across the course.

After four races, we managed to win three of them. We’re happy with the start, but there’s still plenty of racing ahead. We’ll keep pushing and look forward to some close battles on the water!

We arrived at the most beautiful venue of of the World Match Racing Tour in Ledro hosted by Associazione Vela Lago di Ledro. After having completed the training session today we are eager for the racing to start! Racing commences from Friday to Sunday. Ledro is shifty and tricky, so there will be exciting races ahead.

Full Throttle in Medemblik and Muiden!

​We had some fantastic training days this weekend! Focused on speed and progress by constantly learning from each other! ​Saturday: Intensive speed training in Medemblik with two boats. ​Sunday fleet racing in Muiden.
​We are determined to set the bar even higher next year!

Polish Match Cup 🇵🇱⛵️

​Looking back at the Polish Match Cup in Szczecin! While we feel dissatisfied because the final result wasn't what we were gunning for. We are happy to have improved on the points that needed attention from previous regattas. We gained some crucial learnings and now know exactly what to build on this winter!

Our first Dublin Match Cup 🇮🇪 (part of the World Match Racing Tour) is in the books!

The round Robin was tough, but we fought our way back in the repechage round. In the quarter-finals we faced Aurélien Pierroz’s team and lost 2–1 after a nail-biting series. We managed to draw the score, separated by just a few centimeters at the finish line! But in the end it was not enough and we were knocked out in the quarter finals.

With no wind on the final day, the King of the Castle for places 5–8 couldn’t be sailed, so our result remained 8th place.

An amazing venue, strong opponents, and plenty of lessons learned. We’ll be back next year, ready for a revanche! ⚡️⛵️

Second place for the Associazione Vela Lago di Ledro International Match Race! 🇮🇹🥈

After two days of fierce competition we ended the Round Robin on 8 wins - 3 losses, which had us advancing in third position to the semi-finals. Here we battled with the Estonian team for a spot in the finals. Very close races, but we managed to get the upper hand and win by 3-0.

Sunday was finals day and we crossed swords with our friend Rocco Attili and team for the event win. The pre-starts proved to be vital for the outcome of each race, but the Italians got the better over us on their home waters to bring home the title by winning 3-1.

A second place in a World Match Racing Tour event is our best result to date and we’re more motivated than ever to cling on to the steep part of our learning curve. Already looking forward to the next event in Pornichet, France 🇫🇷 next month!
