Poland - Austria 1st Bi-Lateral series 2022

Warsaw Lions is glad to announce the first successful tour to Austria.

Even though rain didnt allow full 2 days of play, we were still able to play a 35 over game with the local club Graz Cricket Academy.

Warsaw Lions opted to bat in overcast conditions and posted a good total of 258-9 in 35 overs. Few good knocks by Sachin (65), Himanshu (30), Tariq (49), Suri and Krishna
Graz bowled really well and pick of their bowler was Sunny with figures of 3-45 in 6 overs.

Graz cricket Academy got off to a shaky start with a wicket in the first over.
Warsaw lions bowlers bowled a very tight line and length and didnt give away too much to the batsman. Bharat their captain showed some grit with a knock of 33 but perished away soon.
Amazing bowling by Mirat with 3-26 in 5 overs.

Rain stopped play after 28 overs and GCA were 144-8. We decided not to continue further and ended the game.

Overall we had a good game of cricket and would especially like to thank Mr. Pawan Kohli for his wonderful hospitality for arranging home made food and special mid game celebration for Mothers day. He went out of the way to make us comfortable during the tour.

Looking forward to playing more often in the future and strengthen the cricketing ties further between the two nations.

Warsaw Lions Cricket Club (WLCC) is glad to announce the opening Bi-Lateral tour of 2022 season in the beautiful city of Graz, Austria against the home team Graz Cricket Academy (GCA) on 7th and 8th May, 2022

We would like to thank GCA for the invitation and giving an opportunity to strengthen the cricketing ties between the two nations.

This will be the 1st edition of the “Austria-Poland” 🇦🇹 🇵🇱 Bi-Lateral tour and we hope to have continuous editions of such tours in the future every year.
