🎶 A look back at the Polish and German premieres of Elzbieta Sikora’s Flute Concerto, performed by Ana de la Vega.

👉 “The most distinctive point of both programmes for me was the world premiere of Elżbieta Sikora’s Concerto for Flute and Orchestra. [...] Immersing oneself in the world composed by Sikora, being wrapped in this musical ivy, was fascinating.”— Ruch Muzyczny

👉 “What at first glance sounded like a political statement revealed itself as a powerful and fantastically presented orchestral concert. The desire for freedom and respect for human rights were reflected throughout the programme. [...] Magnificently played, confidently conducted.”— Fränkische Landeszeitung

👉 “A music of extreme contrasts: isolation and eruption, rigidity and liberation.”— Südwest Presse

👉 “The soloist herself can also be seen as a heroine: the Australian flautist Ana de la Vega had to fight hard for her career. The balance, purity and slender brilliance of her sound reflect her intensive training in France, and thanks to her excellent technique she masters the difficult atonal concerto brilliantly.”— Cul-Tu-Re.de

👉 “Great applause.”— Reutlinger General-Anzeiger
