🔥 How to extend the life of your kimono
Many athletes involved in judo, jiu-jitsu, or sambo face the same problem - rapid wear and tear of their kimono. But this can be prevented if you know a few simple care rules.
First, never wash your kimono in a washing machine. This leads to fabric stretching and loss of shape. Instead, wash it by hand in warm water with mild soap. Do not rub too hard, rinse gently.
Second, dry your kimono outdoors, avoiding direct sunlight. The sun can fade the fabric. It is best to hang it in the shade or on a balcony.
And finally, regularly inspect your kimono for scuffs or tears. As soon as you find them, sew or mend them before the problem worsens.
By following these simple rules, you can extend the life of your kimono and save on replacing it. Your gear will last you much longer!
And how do you care for your kimono?
