El Faro Surf House

Our Story

This house is located in one of the safest neighborhoods on the former site of Ramey Air Force Base. The house has 3 bedrooms, 2 full baths and a dining table that seats 6; is equipped with a fire extinguisher, first aid kit and smoke alarm. The kitchen is fully stocked with cookware and modern appliances, a microwave, crock pot, and blender (great for smoothies!). Each bedroom has new wall mounted air conditioning units. In the hallway there are bunk beds that provide additional sleeping space. The living room comes equipped with a 50” smart TV connected to the internet allowing access to Netflix and Amazon. We have also just added digital cable. Coin operated washer / dryer on property are available for use. The large backyard has an easy access clothesline and view of the ocean and lighthouse. Enjoy the relaxing ocean breezes while chilling and grilling outside.

Within walking distance is Ramey Golf Club (400 meters / 440 yards), Ramey Tennis Court (210 meters / 230 yards) and running track, skateboarding facility and water park complex perfect for kids (Ramey Skate and Splash Park, 280 meters / 310 yards). Just a short 0.8 miles to the Marriott Casino. Nearby activities available include bowling, basketball, cinemas and shopping malls as well as excursions for Hiking, Horseback Riding, Snorkeling, Diving, Paddle Boarding and Zip-lining.

Local supermarkets and restaurants are an easy 5 min drive. Enjoy tasty breads and local pastries at the Puerto Rican bakeries. Experience local eateries trying specialties like empanadas and seafood, and Mofongo (mashed plantains with seafood, chicken or meat). Stop by roadside stands for rotisserie chicken and locally grown fresh fruit.

A slightly further drive will bring you to CAMUY RIVER CAVE PARK. Walk through the third-largest underground cave system in the world. Enjoy the sites and sounds of the Rio Camuy River and experience the beauty it has left in its wake.

Travel three hours East to the diverse city of SAN JUAN. Explore the blue cobblestone streets of Old San Juan experiencing the history, small specialty shops, and diverse culinary scene. Take in the view of the old fort, El Moro, still standing guard and protecting the city. Here you can park your car and travel through the city via the trolley cars and go outlet shopping for famous designers. Hit the Condado’s world famous resorts for casinos and dancing.
