Our two oldest girls. Quehaja was ridden til the age of 26/27 and Rebeca was a brood mare, who was never ridden, ever.
Lusitanos’ names start with the same letter, if they were born in the same year. The order follows the alphabet, but the “naming alphabet” for Lusitanos excludes the letters K, W, Y.
Which means, horses that are 23 years apart start with the same letter, like Quehaja with 29 and Quiana with 6 years old.
Logically Rebeca is born the year after Quehaja.
Armed with that Knowledge, how old is our Falésia?

How grey they turn when they get older. Just like us. I hope they are happy. I hope they forgot all the things humans did to them, when they were very young. I know they felt safe at the end of their ridden lives. And now we just hope, they know freedom, joy, peace. It was a long hard winter. They are here now. They are together 💕

Edit: no offense intended. As much as one convinces themself - horse racing and saddle breaking in Portugal 25 years ago have nothing to do with horse welfare.
