Last week, our Benfica School athletes had the opportunity to take part in the annual visit to the Benfica Stadium: stepping onto the stage of one of the biggest and most historic clubs in world football 🔴⚪

Experiences like these remind young athletes that football dreams are built through daily work, discipline, and consistency.

This is more than just a visit. It is motivation. Inspiration. A glimpse into what football can become when passion meets hard work. 💪

For student-athletes in grades 10 to 12, PFA Portugal offers a Dual Diploma 🇵🇹🇺🇸pathway designed specifically for the demands of high-performance sport 🎓⚽

Students combine the Portuguese and American high school curricula within one integrated academic model ⚖️ working toward two internationally recognised diplomas 🎓while continuing their football development at a high level 📈.

All academic work takes place inside the PFA Academic Hub 🤓: a structured study environment created for athletes, supervised daily by Learning Coaches who support organisation, time management, academic progress, and personal development.

The programme encourages self-directed learning 🧠 while maintaining constant academic follow-up 📚and regular reports to ensure students stay on track and maximise their performance ⚡

More than balancing football and academics, this pathway helps student-athletes develop responsibility, autonomy, discipline, and the skills required to succeed both on and off the field 💪

A huge achievement for our student-athlete Sultan Askaraliev! 🇰🇬⚽🇵🇹

Sultan has been called up to the Kyrgyzstan U20 National Team training camp as part of the preparations for the 2027 AFC U20 Asian Cup.

An impressive accomplishment for a young athlete who has managed to combine high-level football with the demands of completing his 12th grade studies successfully!

Since joining PFA Portugal in 2024, we have watched Sultan grow not only as a player, but also as a responsible, disciplined, and ambitious young man.

The training camp will include two international friendly matches, providing another valuable opportunity for him to continue his development and represent his country on the international stage.

We could not be prouder of your journey and everything you have achieved so far.

What a way to close the season! ⚽🔥

We celebrated the end of another unforgettable year the best way we know: together ⚡️

The day started with the traditional Staff vs Athletes match, which ended in a hard-fought 1-1 draw 🔥

After the final whistle, it was time to gather around the barbecue, enjoy great food, share stories, and celebrate the friendships and memories created throughout the season 🤩

This year also marked a special milestone, as we held our first-ever PFA Awards Ceremony 🏆, recognising athletes who have stood out as examples through their attitude, commitment, work ethic, and contribution to our academy culture. Congratulations to all the award winners! 👏

Moments like these remind us that PFA Portugal is much more than a football academy. It is a family 🤍

Our Middle School pathway allows young student-athletes to balance their academic responsibilities with the demands of high-performance football within a structured and supportive environment.

Through our partnership with Colégio de Calvão, students follow the Portuguese national curriculum while learning important habits such as discipline, responsibility, and international social skills, from a young age!
