The CrossFit Games

This year marks the 20th iteration of the CrossFit Games. What began in 2007 with around 70 athletes on a ranch in Aromas, California, evolved into a global phenomenon, a multi-stage season, and a legitimate proving ground to find the Fittest on Earth.

The inspiration for this year, says CrossFit’s General Manager of Sport and Education Dave Castro, is the legacy of the CrossFit Games.

Every year on Memorial Day, thousands of people around the world walk into a CrossFit gym and take on one of CrossFit’s most meaningful traditions: Murph.⁣

The CrossFit Games has programmed Murph twice as an Individual workout, in 2015 and 2016.
