We encountered s***m whales, Atlantic spotted dolphins and common dolphins during the morning, but our most memorable moment was the false orcas we found on the journey back to port, that inspected our boat a few times!

Almost two months later, a familiar face—or rather, a familiar pattern. 🐟🤙🏻

This individual was re-sighted and positively re-identified through photo-ID, using the unique spots and pigmentation patterns across its head.

Every encounter adds another piece to the puzzle, helping us better understand the movements, behaviour and lives of these incredible animals.

These encounters remind us how valuable long-term observations are for understanding the movements, behaviour and site fidelity of these animals incredible fishes. 💙 🌊
