On our way to Horta a dark night we noticed a vibration on the engine when it was off... Caught something on the propeller? We started the engine and tried to go forward and reverse, and after a short while we shut down the engine and the vibration disappeared...
Later on we started the engine again but found out we didn't had any propwash behind the boat when running the engine...
Had we lost the prop?
We had good wind and decided to continue sailing to Horta, go inside the molo and drop our anchor. At daylight next day I went down linto the water to check - the prop was there, so I thought bad saildrive.. we must on the hard.
We went up, but soon discovered it was the prop that was missing all splines and rubber inside the hub...
Conclusion: not possible to get hold of a new hub, to old and out of production - so a new was ordered express from Gori in Denmark.
What UPS means by express I don't know, all the time it was in Lisbon waiting for something I don't know what for one week.
Well, anyway it finally arrived. I mounted it and finally, after 15 days living on the boat on the hard we where splashed.
Now soon to start our journey to UK and home...

Today's surprise when lifting the anchor...

Alone on the boat I got help from the marina guy to untangle the anchor. Then I dropped it at 15 m depth outside any anchorage area..

Action in Bora Bora on a windy night....

Fremme på Bora Bora på bøye utenfor Yacht cluben. (Det er ikke lov å ankre her !) Nå venter vi bare på vinden som skal komme i løpet av uken, før vi seiler tilbake mot Papeete. Har fått en fin plass godt i le for vinden som skal komme med opp mot 40 knop i kastene. Godt med litt overskyet vær, blir litt mye sol av og til..😎

Endelig har vi fått god nok Internett til at vi kan legge ut en blogg fra ukene våre på Marquesas 😄
