Such a massive heart felt thank you goes out to this community and those that practiced with me this morning 🙏🏻 coming from an emotional Sunny with teary eyes that hasn’t slept well, a wave of emotion and relief washed over me today when I was teaching and I felt such a strong resounding gratitude for this tribe that we have created as a collective over the last 9 months. I know times are hard, anxiety is heightened and stress feels oh so prominent right now but when we come together even if it’s just online it is so healing.

I can’t wait to share more with you over the coming months, I’ll be releasing more info on a special lockdown series ASAP so that I can be here for you just as your hear for me!

Laugh at the funny memes, have a cry but be serious with what your engaging in, try not soak up too many bad vibes and protect your energy from all this s**t! 💖💖💖💖💖💖
Personally I feel like us yogis were made for a pandemic, we’ve got this, we’ll just light our sage, douse the house in Paolo Santo and meditate all fu***ng day...... Hmmmmmmm 🤔
But really, I will be thinking about my online offering over the next couple days, I’m thinking some more IG Live meditations would help a few people so let me know your thoughts....
I’ll also be planning some slow flows designed to calm the system and soothe the mind & body so you can look forward to chilling out with me for an hour or so.
In the meantime, keep focused, write it all down, cry it out and I’ll see you for some big chill later this week 💖💖💖💖💖

Well here we go 2021 I’m ready for you and I’m bringing ALL my joy ✨💫

We all have a light inside of us, sometimes we just need to choose to switch it on! I can’t wait to share my joy for yoga with you this year, I can’t wait to hold space for healing and community, together we can make this happen ✨

Tomorrow at 9.30am I’m hosting a 75minute class called The Power In You via Zoom. We’ll be working with this idea of turning on our own light, discovering what sparks our joy and going deeper into that so that we can continue to shine bright for ourselves and others! I would love for you to join me to move and breathe it’s going to feel so bloody good!

And that my loves, is a wrap! ✨ my final class of 2020 complete, a beautiful practice with a bloody gorgeous bunch. Thank you to each and every single one of you that has supported & held me this year, for everyone that has practiced with me, sat in stillness, moved and flowed. This community has shown me so much love over the last 7 months and I am OH SO GRATEFUL. I hope that I have in turn provided you with the same amount of comfort and healing 🧡

It’s crazy to think that this all started from a little garden in Devon just a few months ago, a time when I was just starting out and the thought of teaching online was a complete no no! Now look at us go! Just a note that even when things feel impossible, if you keep pushing past those uncomfortable barriers that you think are in your way, slowly but surely you will get there!

Don’t forget to take moments of stillness for yourselves over the next few weeks ✨

I’m feeling the need to withdraw from Instagram, get quiet and enjoy the simple things. I had many a plan for December, giveaways, posts, videos, lives but I think if I’m being honest with myself, having so much engagement just isn’t working for me. It’s a funny space isn’t it, it can be filled with inspiration and positivity but also comparison, judgement and an unrealistic heightened view on life. Within the wellness / fitness industry there are many pressures that as a teacher I feel heavily. How I should look, how I should sound, my ability to be able to do every pose and trick in the book. Unfortunately that’s just not me, and I don’t want to be the same as everyone else but that doesn’t stop me feeling that weight, that judgement, hearing that voice of comparison.

It seems I need to listen to my own advice and take some time for inspiration. I’d like to indulge in being a student again and invest some time in me to read, to practice, to write.

So there we are, if you don’t see me around via social for a few weeks that’s why. I’ll still be teaching but this week will be my last full week of classes and I will be releasing a reduced class timetable from next week onwards and taking a week off in December & Jan.

If you regularly attend my classes and want to know if you’re favourites will still be on, just pop me a message.

If you’re not feeling it, it’s probably not right so make sure you listen to your gut and take some time out if you need it.

Are you feeling stuck, bored or unmotivated? These wintery, dark, cold days can be a natural depressant for us humans. In nature animals seek hibernation and stillness but we just continue to “power on” and keep going. Maybe it’s a sign of resilience and strength but it can really take its toll. Tuning in to what’s going on around us can be a great way to understand why we’re feeling the way we’re feeling but as well as listening to this and taking a step back, slowing things down and surrendering to this time of year there are still ways that we can lift our spirits and energy.

Seek INSPIRATION.

But FIRST.

Sit with yourself and breathe, firstly allow the breathe to calm the system, to slow down the body and eventually still the mind. When you’ve reached that place of calm, ask yourself, ‘what truly lights me up inside?’ , ‘what brings me joy?’ , ‘what excites me?!’ When the answer comes to you, from your heart, pops into your head, go with it. This is your true bliss, this I something that you truly love to do and may be your real passion in life. Listen to your gut and seek to explore this idea.

Begin your search for inspiration, a book, a podcast, speaking with a friend. Allow yourself to dive into this topic and don’t allow things to get stale. Take pen to paper and write down whatever comes up, how you feel about this passion, what you’d like to do with this energy? How does this ‘thing’ make you feel?

HUMILITY //

Sometimes we just need to be able to laugh at ourselves! To look at an image, a picture, in a mirror or just at a situation and laugh, full on belly laugh at ourselves. Because WHO REALLY CARES how we look? Take life with a pinch of salt, we can’t always take everything so seriously and we definitely can’t take everything to heart!

I am probably the worst for it, self judgement, self criticism, over thinking, worrying what others think of me, anybody else in the same boat?! But we really need to care less about what everyone else thinks and care more about how WE FEEL in the present moment!

I shared a quote the other day about the sun and it basically says ‘does the sun care about how the moon thinks it looks, no it burns & it shines’ so, if we all wasted less time worrying what others thought of us and put more energy into how we feel and what we think is important, we would all be a LOT happier in our own skin.

Have a wonderful weekend beauties, don’t look for comparison, don’t judge yourself, just live in your own skin in the here and now and enjoy it!
