From 15th September onwards we will host a ladder competition.

Competitions players are initially ranked and then they can challenge other players up to 5 positions above. If they win they switch positions. Challenges cannot be refused.

Cada evento precisa de um mínimo de 16 jogadores.

E há 3 prémios sorteados entre todos os participantes:

E atenção: é sorteio, não é preciso merecer! 😂

Podes aparecer, perder todos os jogos e mesmo assim ganhar um prémio.

The events require a minimum of 16 players.
3 rewards with be drawn between all players: 2 lessons / sparring sessions with Amrit and 1 grip.

Drawn, not earned. You can show up, lose all your games, and still win.

This week we're welcoming an amazing group of juniors from the USA, en route to the Amsterdam Junior Open. Their Squash Summer Camp was led by and .

They immediately adopted typical portuguese squash terminology as you can see from the markings on the glass, where Team Bacalao faced Team Nata. Our guess is that even the Bacalao ones were cheering for Nata. We were 15 once, so we know.

Today we had a fun morning.

We received two classes from Olaias Basic School, with ages ranging from 10 to 13 year-old boys and girls. They won the right to a different morning: these are the classes with better attendance in the Olaias Basic School, an internal competition that rewards being present. I love the concept. Same as we do in our internal events at Squash Olaias, we don't reward winners, we reward those that are present when we need them.

Special thank you to teachers Margarida, Rita, Sandra, Joana, and Rui. If this group of kids represent the output of their educational skill, they are up for congratulations. Involved, enthusiastic, educated and polite. In a very diverse group with children from all backgrounds.

Our new stringing machine has just arrived and is ready to rock & roll. We are now able to provide a stringing service that is:

a) multi-sport, squash, tennis and badminton,
b) immediate, if you can wait 15 minutes,
c) on-site during tournaments for fast replacement

Thank you and for the promptness and hopefully athletes will now benefit from this during our tournaments at the club.

É com enorme orgulho que o Squash Olaias celebra a nomeação da nossa treinadora Susana como Diretora Técnica Nacional da Federação Nacional de Squash. 👏🎉

O squash é muitas vezes visto como um desporto intenso, exigente e até “brutal”, marcado por ritmo, resistência e competitividade. A nomeação da Susana, delegando a liderança técnica da modalidade em Portugal em mãos femininas, envia também um sinal poderoso ao mundo do desporto em geral, de evolução, inclusão e reconhecimento do talento, para o qual pouco importa o género.

Não sabemos se será caso único de uma modalidade a nível nacional, mas é certamente uma raridade. Não apenas a nível da direção técnica, mas até de dirigismo, onde a representação feminina continua extremamente baixa.

A Susana representa o melhor do que o squash pode ser: competência, rigor, visão, e uma paixão contagiante que inspira atletas de todos os níveis.
Da nossa parte, não poderíamos estar mais orgulhosos.
O Squash Olaias continuará a apoiar a Susana nesta nova etapa, e a celebrar cada conquista que eleva o nosso desporto e a comunidade que o vive.

SQUASH OLAIAS no Campeonato Nacional Clubes 2025

Nos dias 25 e 26 de Outubro, o Squash Olaias esteve presente no Campeonato Nacional Clubes, competição que decorreu no Porto, com a presença de 32 equipas masculinas e 7 femininas.

A Equipa Squash Olaias constituida por Igor Shestopalov ), Tiago Aldeia ()e Tiago Jorge () , terminou num fantástico 19°lugar 👏.

Os titulos Nacionais foram conquistados, mais uma vez, pelas Equipas do AD Galomar () !
