The Embodied Connection - Bitterroot Ranch 02/06/2026

We are so excited to share that The Embodied Connection with Meghan Brady is officially live at Bitterroot Ranch in Dubois, Wyoming.

August 23–30, 2026
Bitterroot Ranch | Wyoming

This retreat brings together horses, body awareness, nervous system regulation, groundwork, riding, reflection, and the deeper relationship between horse and human.

Throughout the week, guests will explore how their own body, breath, awareness, and presence influence the way they connect with horses on the ground and in the saddle. The experience includes groundwork, body awareness practices, journaling, meditation, group conversation, intentional riding, optional yoga, and time to settle into the rhythm of one of the most beautiful ranch settings in the country.

This is for the rider, horse lover, or equine professional who wants something deeper than a traditional riding vacation. It is for the person who loves horses and wants to understand the relationship through more than technique alone.

Bitterroot Ranch offers the perfect setting for this kind of work, with wide-open Wyoming landscape, thoughtful horsemanship, beautiful horses, and the space to slow down, listen, and reconnect.

What happens when riding, presence, embodiment, and restoration come together in one experience?

From May 28–31, we will be gathering in Portugal for The Embodied Connection — a 4-day equine wellness retreat created for horse owners, riders, equine wellness practitioners, and those seeking restoration through horses.

Created in collaboration with Dom Cavalo, this experience is centered on body awareness, gentle bodywork, nervous system regulation, and mindful riding to support a deeper horse-human connection.

Throughout the retreat, guests will experience grounding practices, observation, mindful riding, gentle bodywork exploration, journaling, dressage lessons, scenic trail riding, Portuguese culture, and intentional space to slow down, listen, and reconnect.

Each guest will receive a personal reflection notebook on arrival, and the retreat is designed to support not only riding and horsemanship, but also deeper awareness, reflection, and presence.

Return to presence. Reconnect to the horse. Restore your flow.

This is a retreat for those who want more than instruction alone. It is for those who want an experience that brings together horses, embodiment, connection, and restoration in a meaningful way.

Greece Takes a Stand: New Rule Protects Donkeys from Overloaded Tourist Rides

In the steep white streets of the beautiful Greek islands, donkeys have carried travelers and supplies for centuries. These hardworking animals have long been a symbol of tradition in places like Santorini and other parts of Greece.

But behind the postcard views, many of these donkeys have quietly endured exhausting conditions, often forced to carry loads far heavier than what their bodies can safely handle.

Now things are changing.

Authorities in Greece have introduced strict rules and heavy fines to protect these animals from being overloaded or mistreated. The move comes after growing concerns from animal welfare groups and tourists who witnessed donkeys struggling under excessive weight while climbing steep stone paths in the summer heat.

Animal advocates say this step is a major victory for compassion. Donkeys are incredibly strong and loyal animals, but they also have limits. Respecting those limits means protecting their health, dignity, and well-being.

For many visitors, this decision sends a powerful message: tourism should never come at the expense of animal welfare. The breathtaking views, historic paths, and cultural experiences can still be enjoyed while treating the animals that helped build these traditions with kindness and respect.

Sometimes progress means changing old habits so that the next generation of animals can live and work without suffering.

And for these donkeys, that change could mean a much better life. ❤️🐴
