The real measure of how a practice is affecting is: do you feel calm? are a you a stable person? do feel as though you have a purpose? do you feel healthy? do you feel confident and empowered? Are you able to sit still and meditate for a period of time? Or a running around stressed, burnt out, triggered easily, anxious, worried, or can’t relax?
Having a personalised practice, based on your current physical, emotional, mental health, along with your future goals, intentions and desires is how you are able to truly transform your life.
It will give you the space to understand yourself on a deeper level and help you expand SRI in yourself and all areas of your life.

Gentle reminder that safety isn’t created by restriction,
it’s created by awareness, respect and accountability.
We’ve spent generations teaching girls how to avoid harm…instead of teaching boys not to cause it.
Curfews, dress codes, “be careful”…all survival rules.
But the real upgrade? Awareness, emotional intelligence, and respect.
Raise boys who understand boundaries, empathy and consent, and you won’t need to raise girls to be afraid.

𝗧𝗛𝗘 𝗣𝗦𝗬𝗖𝗛𝗢𝗟𝗢𝗚𝗬 𝗢𝗙 𝗛𝗔𝗩𝗜𝗡𝗚 𝗙𝗔𝗜𝗧𝗛:
The science of leaving things to faith and trusting life may sound mystical, but research in psychology and neuroscience shows it has measurable effects on your mind and body.
At its core, trusting life is about releasing the illusion of total control and accepting uncertainty.
When you let go of outcomes, your brain’s stress centers become less reactive. Chronic worrying and overcontrol increase cortisol levels and activate the sympathetic nervous system. Trusting the process reduces stress, allowing your nervous system to function in a state of calm and balance.
Extreme internal control can lead to anxiety, while a flexible approach boosts resilience, mental clarity and overall wellbeing.
Neuroscience supports the power of faith and surrender.
Practices like meditation, prayer, or reflective journaling, which reinforce trust in life, activate the prefrontal cortex, responsible for emotional regulation and perspective, while calming the limbic system, which governs fear and stress.
Over time, this rewires the brain to respond to uncertainty with curiosity rather than fear.
Trusting outcomes also encourages patience, reduces impulsivity and improves decision-making. It allows you to act in alignment with your values rather than reacting out of fear.
Paradoxically, letting go often leads to better results because your mind is less rigid, your creativity higher, and your focus sharper.

Trusting life aligns body and mind, reduces stress, and creates space for clarity, growth and flow.

Karma is your chosen path. Moving and growing beyond our karma is the goal of life, whether you are conscious of this or not.
You must accept the fact that your destiny and life are in your hands, nobody else’s. If you feel the world is constantly against you, this is your doing and can be undone at any moment.
If you can look at yourself in the most honest way, then you can start to change the trajectory of your life. But it can only be done with honest introspection. Only you can see the whole picture.
Facing karma isn’t going to be easy. In fact, it will be challenging and painful at times, but it will be worth it. Living in dharma (purpose) is what the soul strives for.
Understanding karma and how it works is how we can move beyond it.
Do you want the wheel of karma working in your favor, in favor of your dharma? Or do you want it moving backward, stuck or stagnant?
Imagine a version of yourself where you can accept any challenge that comes your way with a resilient mind and have the courage to remove anything that isn’t helpful to your path.
Karma means action
—> Performing any action, whether positive or negative, creates a ‘samskara’ which means a psychological imprint in the mind and in the body, which creates a ‘vasana’ -> desire or tendency to act again in a certain way.
So this could be to wake up every day and meditate, or wake up every day and have a cigarette.
To start changing our karma or destiny, we need to examine our daily routine, habits, and thoughts.
Are they positive and helpful?
Are they leading you to the life you desire?
If you have some negative ones, then start replacing them with positive ones.
It’s not enough to just stop doing the negative things; they must be replaced with something positive and helpful.
This is why I often talk about the benefits of having a daily sadhana or a consistent yoga practice.
Practicing the same way for 40 days creates a new pathway of the mind, a new samskara.
I invite you to try it for 40 days. Find a habit you want to release (or a new one to form), and do it (or not do it) for 40 days.
Watch your life transform.
Realize you are the creator of your own life 💛

Where you choose to eat is a reflection of what you value.
At GAYA, we look for places that respect the planet, not just serve food.
sem does exactly that. A zero-waste restaurant in Lisbon rethinking the way we consume, cook and experience dining.
No trash bins. No shortcuts. Just intention.
This is what the future of food could look like.
