Because the mind isnât predicting whatâs POSSIBLE. Itâs predicting whatâs familiar. And it will defend the familiar even when the familiar has never served you just because it FEELS safe.
In relationships, it can look like:
â âI have standardsâ but you only want the unavailable ones you have to chase because you learned love is earned
â âI just know it wonât work outâ about someone youâve never let get close.
â Staying in the situationship because confusion is less scary than being fully seen
In business, it can look like:
â undercharging and calling it âbeing accessibleâ but really youâre just scared to name the price
â freezing right before the launch and telling yourself you need to feel MORE ready
â talking yourself out of the bigger vision and calling it âbeing realistic.â
But realistic is just another word for familiar. The ceiling isnât your potential. Itâs your brain refusing to render a future it has no memory of.
Hereâs how you can start shifting because the future isnât written at the goal level. Itâs written at the unconscious identity level. When you change who you are underneath, your brain gets new footage to build from. The predictions change because the source changed.
Youâre not forcing a new goal onto an old identity. Youâre becoming someone whose future isnât a remix of her past. You become the captain & your past no longer gets to call the destination.

Full steam ahead. No Czeching over your shoulder.
What if youâre not actually stuck or cursed. Youâre just protecting an identity.
The thing youâve been saying youâll do for years is the exact thing that would update who you are. Thatâs why you havenât done it.
What the loop looks like:
you want it, you plan it, something comes up or you reach for reasons why you canât, you donât move, the wanting comes back. The loop keeps âthe woman whoâs going toâ alive. The minute you actually do it, she dies. Your subconscious treats that like a death. Death of an identity.
When I say make the step smaller, I donât mean removing things from the to-do list. I mean find the smallest action that moves you even just 1%.
You donât need to âscale the business.â You need one action today that can act as the first domino of a chain of actions. It could be writing the first word of your new post. Turn on your camera to film your first video. The rest will follow.
The action is the proof & the identity follows.
The loop wants you to stay âsomeone whoâs going to.â Your job is to do the one thing that makes you âthe woman who did.â
In the words of Wayne Dyer, donât die with your music still in you.

I felt my breakup coming even before it happened in 2023. Even though I knew it would be extremely hard to grieve over something that felt so safe, a part of me was excited. Excited to meet HER.
The woman writing this.
The one who treats foreign countries like portals and refuses to live a life that requires her to live out a conventional blueprint. She lets her Sag moon roam.
She couldnât have evolved inside what just fell apart. And her world really did fall apart.
To build HER. Me.
The challenge isnât separate from your path. The challenge IS your path.
But knowing that doesnât get you there. Anchoring in HER does.

I caught myself doing this last week. Started planning my Euro summer and immediately did the math on what Iâd have to sacrifice to âdeserveâ it. The work Iâd have to do extra hard to âmake up for it.â
Is it REALLY okay for me to enjoy life when I havenât made sure EVERYONE around me is okay?
As I watched my thoughts, I realized: I wasnât budgeting. I was paying a tax Iâd been trained to pay since I was a kid.
The version of me that was always rescuing, always sacrificing, always carrying someoneâs emotional load. No exchange could ever just be an exchange. It had to be a sacrifice.
Because Iâd be selfish to live for myself.
WHAT A LIE.
The bank account isnât a sacrifice for joy. Itâs an energy exchange because money circulates. Joy is your birthright and life continues.
No martyrdom required.
Iâm dismantling the woman who had to suffer to earn the good thing. Underneath, thereâs someone who can just⊠receive. Without the guilt tax.
You donât need to get better at navigating pain. Youâre already a graduate. The work now is learning to receive joy without paying for it in advance.
Can you step into that identity without your unconscious mind pulling you back to old patterns?

This is quantum leaping, simplified.
Most people spend their entire lives trying to change their circumstances.
The circumstances are never the needle mover. They are the EFFECT. Your identity and the filter you view life through are the CAUSE.
Letâs illustrate this:
The woman who feels unlovable scans every neutral message for proof heâs losing interest.
The woman who feels behind reads someone elseâs success as her own delay.
The woman who believes sheâs broken finds fresh evidence of that in events that are objectively neutral.
Even your relationship to yourself runs on this.
If you donât like yourself, youâre focused on the wrong things. The filter is selecting for evidence of whatâs wrong, and your subconscious is dutifully delivering the proof on a silver platter.
This is why surface-level fixes rarely hold. You can try to rearrange the circumstances by forcing connections, refusing an ending, manipulating external eventsâŠetc. If the filter is still âIâm not enough,â the new circumstances will deliver the same conclusion.
Change the filter and the data starts producing different conclusions and different choices follow. Then life rearranges itself around the woman you actually are.

âIâM TIRED OF COPING! I donât want to cope better. I want change.â
A client cried during our consult call. In fact, Iâve heard this several times.
But this time, it hit me hard because I, too, had gotten so sick and tired of coping better recently.
I sat with that for a long time. Because itâs the exact thing most women in my container come to me sensing but canât quite articulate.
Theyâve done the work. Therapy. Journaled. Reframed. They have the language for everything but the patterns are still running them. Some were even told they need a new diagnosis to see âwhat else is wrong.â
Iâm going to say this very clearly:
THERE IS NOTHING WRONG WITH YOU.
Youâre simply running on outdated patterns & identity. They feel familiar and safe. Thatâs just how our brain and nervous system work. You make sense.
