This photo was taken pretty much 6 months after my 2nd knee reconstruction back 2010 (before my return to sport nod from the Dr 😬) the week after I flew down to Portugal to meet for our first ever big wave session at Nazaré and really tested the knee! Visualising my return to sport again after another knee injury, this time I’m gunna wait for the thumbs up from the professionals but I am 10 years older and wiser this time 😂 .

Who is ready for one of these??? Making choices everyday to be in the right spot when this beauty decides to roll in! Besides patience it’s going to take a lot of focus and determination, not just in the moment but everyday leading up to it. It’s not about the end goal and more about the journey to get there. Celebrating by thinking about the calm the ocean can bring you even in its most ferocious and dangerous state, having the opportunity to flow briefly with this crazy amount of energy back in 2014 with and . Time truly slowed down on this moving mountain and although the ride was over seconds it honestly lasted hours and I don’t think life has been the same since. 🙏🏼🌊🙌🏽 lets all remember to love, care and respect the ocean, it’s so important in so many ways. . 📸 .
