Flower Power Surf School Flower Power is a surf, sports and wellbeing brand built by the ocean. We are ocean people.

A community-driven space that goes beyond surf school, offering movement, connection and experiences for people and brands. Founded in 2005, Flower Power Surf School is a surf school based in Porto, built around a strong community and a lifestyle connected to the ocean and nature. With a relaxed yet professional approach, we promote surfing and outdoor sports through lessons, surf camps, events and experiences both in and out of the water, with a strong focus on inclusion, wellbeing and sustainability. Fundada em 2005, a Flower Power Surf School é uma escola de surf na Foz do Porto, construída sobre uma forte comunidade e um estilo de vida ligado ao mar e à natureza. Com uma abordagem descontraída e profissional, promovemos o surf e o desporto ao ar livre através de aulas, surf camps, eventos e experiências dentro e fora de água, sempre com foco na inclusão, no bem-estar e na sustentabilidade.

Sport belongs in student life too. 🎓
We welcomed the student associations federated in FAP (Federação Académica do Porto) to our space for an afternoon of conversation about the role of sport in academic life and how to keep it part of the routine throughout the new school year.
We presented Flower Power and everything we can offer the academic community and, of course, there was still time for a surf lesson.
Thank you to FAP, for the afternoon and for the photos, and to every association that joined us. See you at the beach.

Recebemos no nosso espaço as Associações de Estudantes federadas na FAP para uma tarde de conversa sobre a importância do desporto na Academia e sobre como mantê-lo na rotina ao longo do novo ano letivo.
Apresentámos a Flower Power e tudo o que podemos oferecer à comunidade académica e, claro, ainda houve tempo para uma aula de surf.

The last Porto.ComVida session of the season was all about working together. 🤝
We trained in pairs, with bodyweight exercises and resistance bands, supporting each other rep after rep and celebrating the journey each participant made throughout the programme.
The perfect way to close a cycle built on movement, fresh air and community. Thank you to Ágora Porto and to everyone who trained with us.

First surf lesson coming up? Here's everything you need to know. 🏄
You don't need any experience. If you've never stood on a board, you're in the right place. Just bring a swimsuit, a towel and sunscreen, because we take care of the board and the wetsuit. Arrive 15 minutes early to get ready calmly and meet the group and, before the lesson, eat something light so you have energy without going into the water on a full stomach.
And yes, you'll probably fall. It's part of it and it happens to everyone. What matters is getting back on the board, trying again and enjoying the experience.

Vais ter a tua primeira aula de surf? F**a com tudo o que precisas de saber. 🏄
Não precisas de ter experiência. Se nunca subiste a uma prancha, estás no sítio certo. Traz apenas fato de banho, toalha e protetor solar, porque nós tratamos da prancha e do fato de surf. Chega 15 minutos antes para te equipares com calma e conheceres o grupo e, antes da aula, come qualquer coisa leve para teres energia sem entrares na água de estômago cheio.
E sim, provavelmente vais cair. Faz parte e acontece a toda a gente. O importante é voltar à prancha, continuar a tentar e aproveitar a experiência.

There's one last session to go: Saturday, 26/09, 10h00 to 11h00, at Castelo do Queijo, Parque do Covelo or Jardim do Calém. Free, as always.
