Today I’m here with Professor Dr. José Gomes Pereira, a true national reference!
An example of professionalism in everything he does. Besides being an Olympic swimmer, a specialist in sports medicine, and a full professor at FMH, he was also one of the best professors I had the privilege of having at university, in Exercise Physiology. In fact, he was one of those professors who would always fill the lecture hall — not only because of his incredible knowledge, but also because of the unique way he communicated and inspired his students.
He has always been a reference doctor, someone I trust 100%. But what truly fascinates me most about Professor Dr. Gomes Pereira is his human side — increasingly rare nowadays — in the way he speaks to, listens to, and treats his patients. Truly unique.
I just don’t know what I’m going to do when he stops seeing patients at his clinic… 🙏🙌
