Our Last Day 🥺

What a week it has been.

Today, we rounded it all up in the most memorable way.

Morning Magic

Our biggest session yet kicked things off – a powerful mix of strength & conditioning followed by a boxing finisher in the pool. Just when we thought we’d given it all, Cally surprised us with an aqua aerobics session that had us all in stitches. What a laugh! 💪

A lovely breakfast followed, and some well earned chill time before the moment that makes this retreat truly special...

The Closing Ceremony

Cally performed her closing ceremony, a real moment where tears and laughter are shared. This is where the magic happens. This is why we stay so connected. 🥰

Our Last Supper

We headed out for a family meal, then on to a bar to watch Shannon sing – it was ace fun! We danced, we laughed, we drank cocktails, and we soaked in every moment before heading back to our lovely villa.

The Magic

Our retreat is something so special... and it’s really hard to put into words.

But the ladies who attended, they’ll tell you better than we ever could.

Day 4

As always we started the day with a solid workout around the pool and had a light breakfast before heading off to our Portuguese cooking experience.

We spent the afternoon at Casa Mondo in the hills of the Algarve, and it was an experience we won’t forget. From the moment we arrived, the atmosphere was warm, welcoming, and unique. Harriet and Mondo are lovely and we felt like family.

We rolled up our sleeves to learn the art of traditional Portuguese cooking, helping prepare three beautiful dishes: a rustic soup, a classic cataplana, and the iconic pastel de natas. Our chef guided us through each step with patience and expertise, making the experience both educational and genuinely fun, we were glad we never had to make the pastry from scratch though.

What made the afternoon truly special was the surroundings and the Portuguese wine ❤️

Music filled the air, and laughter echoed throughout the casa. It felt less like a cooking class and more like being invited into a a family that has kept Portuguese tradition alive, sharing stories and techniques with people who clearly love what they do.

The night was a slow one as we all felt exhausted. Cally once again sent us all into a deep sleep with her bedtime meditation..

Day 3: Let Go & Find Your Zen

What a day of release and renewal!

We started slow this morning, because sometimes that’s exactly what we need. After our hike, we reconnected with our bodies through movement flows before diving into our strength workout.

The energy was a little quieter at first, but once the banging tunes came on and the motivational bants started flowing, everyone was buzzing.

The Magic of Letting Go

Release was the days theme!

With Cally’s guidance, we all wrote down the things we wanted to let go of, the worries, the weight, the what ifs and threw them into the fire.

There’s something powerful about watching your burdens literally go up in flames.

The girls then treated themselves to spa treatments, we were all glowing by the end of it.

A huge thank you to for those healing hands.

We finished the day with a dinner together, followed by a bedtime meditation paired with sound healing. (Pretty sure I wasn’t the only one who drifted off during it)

Day 2 kicked off with a pool circuit and a Sally finisher IYKYK 💦.

After the session, Cally led us through meditation and journaling.

The ladies loved picking oracle cards and diving into beautiful conversations.

We ended with a 3-hour sunset hike along the Seven Hanging Valleys—stunning, and it’s safe to say everyone slept well that night. Enjoy the singing 🤣

01/06/2026

Day one kicked off with a strength session, a chance to see how all the ladies move and to coach some fundamentals before ramping things up later in the week.

Breakfast was shared for the first time and it was such a lovely start.

Cally led the open ceremony, helping everyone relax and feel safe to acknowledge the feels and know it’s ok to show up as whatever version of yourself on any giving day.

We enjoyed plenty of pool downtime and wrapped the night with great chats and lots of laughs.

Grateful for all the ladies who jumped in and put their trust in us 💪✨

Day 2 Week 1: Training with Intent.

6 weeks of tougher, more focused sessions plus mindful eating to drop fat before my holiday.

Strength + pump.

Deadlifts: 8,8,6,6
Incline Press: 8,8,6,6
Hip Bridge: 12,10,8
3-Point Row: 10,10,10

Pump : 3 sets (not filmed - forgot)
Biceps curls: 10 reps
Triceps extensions : 10 reps
Pallof Press: 10 reps

Realities of a 35-year old woman:

Metabolism and energy can shift, sleep may be unsettled, and body composition can change without regular strength work.
Hormones, busy life, and bone health all matter.

My simple plan: 2–3 full body strength days, stay active daily, prioritise protein, fibre and hydration, sleep well, and include pelvic floor & core work, work on your stress management techniques.
