GOLF, FRIENDSHIP AND THE CHEZ CARLOS SPIRIT

Last Saturday, the Chez Carlos Golf Society gathered once again, this time at Ombria Algarve, with more than 20 members sharing another great day on the course.

Moments like the one in this video, with Carlos Ferreira welcoming back Tony Roberts, say a lot about what the Society represents: familiar faces, long-lasting friendships, and a shared passion for the game.

For Tee Times Golf Holidays, Chez Carlos is much more than a golf society. It is a vital part of who we are, bringing people together through golf, camaraderie and the spirit of the game we love.

See you at the next one!

After four play-off holes against Paul Casey, Thriston Lawrence is the OMEGA European Masters champion for the third time in just five appearances at Crans-Montana.

Some venues feel different on the DP World Tour. For Lawrence, Crans is like home. Congratulations!

WHAT DOES ESG MEAN FOR GOLF AND VILAMOURA?

ESG stands for Environmental, Social and Governance: a framework that looks at how a business protects the environment, contributes to people and communities, and is managed responsibly.

In Vilamoura, that idea is becoming part of the entire golf experience. Under Details - Hospitality, Sports, Leisure' management, initiatives range from recycled water and efficient irrigation to electric buggies, solar energy, local sourcing and biodiversity projects.

The goal is not simply to be “greener”, but to prove that premium golf tourism can combine quality, responsibility and long-term value.

At Tee Times Golf Holidays, we strongly support and promote initiatives like these, which help build a more responsible and sustainable future.

Discover how Vilamoura is putting ESG into practice.

DUNAS OR TORRE? WHY NOT BOTH?

Two courses. Two world-class designers. One outstanding golf destination.

At Terras da Comporta, Dunas and Torre offer two very different reasons to put Portugal on your golf travel list. David McLay Kidd's Dunas blends naturally into the sandy landscape, with wide fairways, bold contours and strategic options at every turn. Nearby, Sergio García's first Signature Course, Torre, brings a different personality to the experience and was named World's Best New Golf Course 2025 at the World Golf Awards.

Choosing between them may be the hardest part. Our suggestion? Don't.

Play both, discover Comporta and experience one of Portugal's most exciting golf destinations with Tee Times Golf Holidays.

INSIDE THE FEDEXCUP: 5 THINGS EVERY GOLF FAN SHOULD KNOW

Scottie Scheffler has done it again. A final-round 66 at East Lake Golf Club took the World No. 1 to 16-under par and a three-shot victory, securing his second FedExCup title and providing another memorable finish to the PGA TOUR season.

But what exactly is the FedExCup? Here are five things every golf fan should know.

◉ IT IS A SEASON-LONG RACE
The FedExCup isn't decided in one week. Players accumulate points throughout the PGA TOUR season, with the 2026 Regular Season featuring 34 official events. Majors and THE PLAYERS offer 750 points to the winner, Signature Events 700 and regular Full-Field Events 500.

◉ ONLY 70 MAKE THE PLAYOFFS
Once the Regular Season ends, the race gets serious. The top 70 players advance to the FedEx St. Jude Championship, only 50 move on to the BMW Championship, and just 30 earn a place at the TOUR Championship. Three tournaments. Three increasingly exclusive fields.

◉ EVERYONE STARTS EAST LAKE LEVEL
One of the biggest changes in recent history arrived in 2025. The previous "Starting Strokes" system was eliminated, meaning all 30 players now begin the TOUR Championship at even par. Four rounds, 72 holes, lowest score wins and takes the FedExCup.

◉ THERE IS MUCH MORE THAN A TROPHY AT STAKE
The TOUR Championship carries a $40 million purse, with $10 million going to the champion. The FedExCup winner also receives a five-year PGA TOUR exemption, while a separate bonus pool of nearly $100 million rewards season-long performance through the BMW Championship.

◉ SCHEFFLER HAS JOINED A VERY EXCLUSIVE CLUB
The FedExCup was introduced in 2007, making 2026 its 20th edition. Scheffler is now a two-time champion, joining Tiger Woods with two titles and sitting behind only Rory McIlroy, the record-holder with three.

From a season-long race to one final Sunday in Atlanta, the FedExCup is designed to reward consistency, pressure performance and championship golf.

Congratulations Scottie!

A SUNDAY TO REMEMBER AT THE BELFRY

What a finish at the Husqvarna British Masters hosted by Sir Nick Faldo.

Starting the final round seven shots off the lead, local Joe Dean produced a spectacular course-record-equalling 63 at The Belfry Hotel & Resort to reach 274 (-14) and claim his maiden DP World Tour title, finishing three shots clear of the chasing pack.

There was also plenty to celebrate for Portugal golf. Daniel Rodrigues closed with a 69 to finish T9 on 279 (-9), securing a hugely important Top 10 as the Race to Dubai enters its decisive stretch. Congratulations!
