UNILABS AND HOSPITAL TERRA QUENTE | COVID-19 PCR TESTS WERE AVAILABLE AT 2021 PORTO FINN GOLD CUP
Coming from all over the world, a big majority of the athletes present in this 2021 Finn Gold Cup needed to travel home by plane after the regatta's end. At the moment, most airplane companies require Covid-19 test before boarding.
For that, we counted with the great work of Unilabs Portugal, in a partnership created through Hospital Terra Quente - the official medical service at the 2021 Porto Finn Gold Cup.
Thank you Unilabs Portugal and Hospital Terra Quente for helping Finn sailors get home safe!

LOOKING BACK | JOSÉ ROSAS JEWLLERY AT THE 2021 PORTO FINN GOLD CUP PRIZE GIVING
It was the company from Porto José Rosas & Cª that helped designing and supplied the event's trophies.
From 1st to 10th, these finn-shaped steel trophies are also identified with the event logo.
Besides the trophies, the company felt that it was a good oportunity for the sailors to get to know a little bit more the portuguese culture - the 3 winners of the Andy Maloney, Joan Cardona and Josh Junior took home an historical portuguese Cross of Christ keychain.
Beautiful and well made artwork!

HIGHLIGHTS DAY 5 2021 PORTO FINN GOLD CUP 👇
https://youtu.be/eD1JHw6eGb4New
New Zealand sailors were the ones that best adapted to the difficult conditions imposed by the Atlantic in the 5 days of competition of the Finn class world championship.
It took 60 years for New Zealand to win its first Finn Gold Cup, and now two have come along in a row. Andy Maloney led the 2021 Porto Finn Gold Cup since Day 1 and today, though he lost the lead briefly, did just enough to take the Cup off his teammate Josh Junior, who won in 2019. Joan Cardona takes the silver and wins the European Continental Qualifier and selection for Spain in Tokyo, while Junior took the bronze. Leo Davis also qualified South Africa for Tokyo in the African Continental Qualifier.
With 9 races completed, the world elite of the Finn class says goodbye to the Douro Marina, after an intense week of competition and several days of tourism in the cities of Porto, Matosinhos and Vila Nova de Gaia.
