HOW TO TRIM YOUR NELO 28 FOR MAXIMUM EFFICIENCY

We build unbelievable boats, but to get that ultimate, effortless glide, you need to make sure your boat is running in its absolute sweet spot.

Our new technical guide on Drag and Dynamic Trim for 28 is officially LIVE and available for download! Here is the quick breakdown of how to find your perfect starting point and fine-tune your run:

1 - The Weight-Based Starting Point
Before you hit the water, adjust your seat based on where you fall in the boat’s weight interval:

Lower end of the weight range? Sit a bit more to the front.

Right in the middle? Sit dead center.

Top end of the weight range? Move your seat slightly to the back.

2 - Analyze Your “Dynamic Trim” (The Video Test)
Your boat behaves differently once you hit cruising speed. The only way to truly see your dynamic trim is to have someone film you from the side while you paddle.

The Golden Rule: Never let your bow dig too deep. If your waterline sits lower than the ideal guide drawings, your drag increases dramatically.

Watch the Catch: As your paddle enters the water, your bow will dive to its lowest point. It can dip slightly, but it should immediately lift and transition into a smooth, clean run as you pull through the stroke.
