FIFÄ WÖRLD CUP 2022 Qatar

Prof. Khalid bin Ibrahim Al-Sulaiti, General Manager at Katara Cultural Village Foundation, and Khalid Abdul Rahim al-Sayed, Director of Cultural Affairs and Events have announced a series of events at Katara for the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022.
From November 20 up to December 18, Katara's World Cup activities will be split into five categories: Festivals, live performances, events, parties, and exhibitions. The complete schedule consists of 51 main events during the tournament, which include 300 activities with the participation of performers from 22 countries. Prof. Khalid bin Ibrahim Al-Sulaiti emphasized that "Katara will be an ideal destination for football fans, with a vibrant atmosphere and festivities."

Just opposite Museum of Islamic Art (MIA), installation of the largest screen to broadcast Qatar World Cup matches has been completed.
The screen is equipped with up-to-date high-definition visual display technologies and the most advanced audio system. It will allow visitors in Doha Corniche to enjoy watching live world cup matches and to live the ambiance of street carnivals. The place is expected to host more than 70,000 visitors during the tournament. Other screens are distributed across the event space as well.

To accommodate a projected increase in ridership during the World Cup, Qatar Rail will deploy 110 metro trains and increase their daily operating hours to 21 hours. During the competition, it anticipates roughly 700,000 daily passengers, or about six times the usual daily ridership.

Doha Metro will employ more than 10,000 workers, according to Minister of Municipality H E Dr. Abdullah bin Abdulaziz bin Turki Al Subaie, who is also the Managing Director and CEO of Qatar Rail, to ensure a seamless operation and the safety and security of passengers.
