Before joining , Abassi spearheaded the overall digital strategy and partnership initiatives for Zaffron Cricket Club Kashmir, showcasing his extensive expertise garnered from previous endeavors. Abid was instrumental as a core in establishing the brand and introduced cricket as a unifying force within the Kashmiri community residing in Qatar.

Welcome to the official page of , a brand new franchise that began its cricket journey on a high note yesterday, March 20' 2024 in Qatar. The Royals sweated it out long and hard at Bravo Academy Nets, ahead of their opening fixture in the 2024 edition.

The franchise will be led by the veteran cricketer in all formats for the upcoming seasons. The KR's existing line-up includes the likes of veteran all-rounder , wicket Keeper batter , all-rounder G, unorthodox spinner , Veteran spinner , overseas speed gun and Skipper . The new faces of , A, S, *tha A, B, M, Q and will add more variety to the already existing veteran 7-player solid line-up.

The franchise is inspired by the opportunity to represent and build on the and deep legacy of Kashmir in the state of Qatar. "We all know this demands lot of things from each individual , however the commitment to the team, discipline , hard work, and loyalty were unanimously agreed to be on top of the order among others.

Meet : Zaffron’s Active, Assertive and most Indispensable Asset.
When George Orwell says, "Sport has nothing to do with fair play. In other words, it is war minus the shooting." I think we know someone within Zaffron who plays the game of cricket in that spirit, don't we?
Yes, we are talking about Irfan Janwari, the man who wears his heart on his sleeve, the man behind Zaffron’s success story.

From the time he cofounded Zaffron in 2014 in Qatar, Zaffron was seen as a cricketing start-up that was set to achieve great things. After its initial success as a platform presenting Kashmiri cricketing talent to the rest of the world,Zaffron began to gain massive popularity within Kashmiri diaspora in the region. In 2016, when Zaffron nearly crashed after it saw a failed coup from some of its senior players, Irfan took the mantle on his shoulders, quickly inducted new players into the squad and lead the new team from the front. Of course, this wouldn’t be possible without immense sacrifices and contributions from Azhar Hussain, Mudasir Kirmani, Waseem Lone, Asif Firdousi and Abid Abbasi - Zaffron’s other co-founding members.

As a bowler, variety is his calling with a conventional straight and a lethal faster one, though later is increasingly common. He fairly pushes through overs, which in limited-over formats is a weapon in itself and the package is dangerous. But forever associated with him will be his aggression on the ground, the prospect of which is his immense popularity among the cricketing fraternity here in Doha.
