The game of cricket started to play in Doha in 1977 in the car parking of Khalifa Stadium. M.A. Shahid, and Late Mr.
That time only 8 teams were participating in the league tournament. In 1980 twelve major teams decided to form the Qatar Cricket Association under the Presidency of Mr. Saifuddin Khalid, as its General Secretary. ICC announced 5 new rules which will come into effect from October 1 this year. SHARE it with your friends!
(1) T20I Ranking: ICC agreed to change the calculation of the T20 rankings to cover the same period.
(2) LED Lights In Bails & Stumps will be used in ODIs & T20Is.
(3) If Ball tampering is seen, the Umpires to award a five-run penalty to the batting team and book the fielding captain.
(4) TV umpire reviews of a no-ball on the fall of a wicket can now include waist-high full tosses and bouncers above shoulder height.
(5) The World Test Championship replaces the Champions Trophy in the ICC's calendar and will take off in June-July 2017.
Ricky Ponting will retire from all
forms of cricket in October.
Ponting, who is currently playing
for Surrey in all three formats of
the game, will retire after playing
for Mumbai Indians in the
Champions League in October.
The 38-year-old Tasmanian said:

much as ever, it just feels like the
right time to finish playing.
'My body and mind are in great
shape and I know I’m going to
really enjoy these last few months
before the next stage of life begins.'
