After the success of Melissa's 11s to celebrate an assumed 11th place AG finish in the Trifecta World Champs (she was actually 10th 😀), it was time for Melissa's 3s Plus Ryan's 9s to celebrate Coaches and 3rd and 9th place AG finishes at the Jebel Sifah Beast.
One person from two teams run out to grab a tennis ball or shuttlec**k and the team does 12 reps of the corresponding exercise.
Join us on Wednesday evenings at 6.30pm or our new time of 6pm on Mondays at Al Bidda Park for our community workouts.

Congratulations to our community members who finished the first leg of the Spartan Oman Trifecta Weekend today. Coach who got a podium finish in 3rd in her age group, Coach who got a top 10 finish in his age group, and with a strong showing the the Open Category. Aroo!

Wednesday night carries and chippers... while one team did a heavy carry run, the other completed a chipper, competing for number of reps. Team 2 took out the first two rounds and Team 1 won the last two so both teams did the burpee punishment!

First Wednesday of the month at Al Bidda Park is fitness test time! killed the YoYo Intermittent Recovery Test with a level 22.1! Massive!
Then it was time for a team workout we called "Melissa's 11" in honour of our coach and her 11th place AG finish at the Spartan Trifecta Team Championship. Team members ran one at a time to pick up a tennis ball/shuttle c**k and the number on it corresponded to 11 reps of the given exercise each team member had to complete. Despite a valiant effort Team Tennis Balls beat Team Shuttle C***s!

Tonight's plate themed workout focusing on grip strength:
While one group does 400m run, other group does AMRAP, then swap.
AMRAP workouts:
1) 10 x Plate Ground to Overhead, 10 x Plate Thrusters
2) Plate Pinch Grip Left to failure and repeat
3) 20 x Plate Drivers, 10 x Plate Rollups
4) Plate Pinch Grip Right
5) 10 x Plate Overhead Lunge, 10 x Plate Shoulder Press
6) Plate Single Arm Raise and Switch w/ pinch grip
And 5 minute EMOM of 10 Burpees to finish
