Traditional dragon boat racing was first introduced in Qatar on September 2013. Jeff Ching with only 4 standard boats. Eventually, on June 2015, Qatar Dragon Boat was established and recognized by IDBF, with Doha Dragons, PDWQ, Gaod, ORDQ, Drakainas, and Wireless Warriors as pioneering teams. A big round of applause to all participants of the QDBA WINTER RACE 2025! It’s incredible how teams still showed up with so much energy and heart despite the overwhelming number of races this year. Your passion truly fuels the sport.
