All major TV networks will start their world cup coverage at least 1 hour before the opening ceremony which will be a 30 minute show. Just like the last few world cups where a Marquee international artist is invited to perform in the opening ceremony, Qatar authorities are going the same route.

According to rumors, BTS boy band from South Korea are in talks to perform at the world cup while Shakira is also another possibility. FIFA and Qatar FA has yet to release information if there will be any international artists performing in the ceremony however local artists and performers have been confirmed.
