Thanks to everyone who came out for PAWS for Yoga today!

Many thanks to Sarah Holt Neeson for running two family friendly yoga sessions this afternoon for us! Such a lovely way to spend a Friday afternoon and a great idea. We hope she can run some more after the summer 😀

Sarah manages to raise enough to pay a good chunk off our food bill so the animals are very grateful 🙏

Sitting is the new smoking, people!

But the good news is it only takes a little bit of light exercise to counteract the affect of sitting. When I worked at a desk full-time I drank lots of water and always used the restroom on a different floor just to get those few extra steps in, for example. They do add up!

I'm a big fan of Bad Yogi, but I'm an even bigger fan of this message. I usually ask my students to try to keep their mind on their own mats during class and to be honest with themselves about where they are with their practice. When we work at our own level, we get more out of our practice, and we can move forward. This holds true "off the mat" too. Don't worry about what other people are doing. Do YOUR thing. Enjoy it. Keep practicing. You'll get where you need to be.

Doha people! *NEW yoga CLASS!*
I'm now teaching Tuesdays at 10 am, Vinyasa level 1/2 at Yama Yoga Al Waab.

This class is ideal for beginner and intermediate yogis, those returning to yoga after a break and those whose primary movement preference is not necessarily yoga. I'm looking at you - runners, cross-fitters, walkers, boot-campers - you will love this active style of yoga! Linking breath to movement, we will open and strengthen the body, leaving you with a feeling of lightness as you go about your day.

I'm looking forward to seeing you on the mat!
