With the diversification and intensification of sport activities and participation of the Qatar National Teams in international, regional, and continental competitions in the mid 1970's, the need for the establishment of the Qatar Olympic Committee (QOC) was imminent. It was consequently founded on 14 March 1979, and joined the International, Continental and Regional Committees as follows:

Our champions are crowned winners of the 11th Asian Men’s Youth Handball Championship, following a 28–24 victory over Bahrain in the final held in Jordan 🥇👏

في طريقهم إلى أسياد ناغويا، يواصل أبطال الأدعم علي تركي العذبة، وخالد اليافعي ، وعبدالله خليفة مسيرتهم بثبات، حاملين روح الأدعم إلى ميادين المبارزة في الأسياد ، ويرون لنا جانباً من قصصهم..🇶🇦 🤺

On their journey to the Aichi-Nagoya Asian Games, Team Qatar fencers Ali Turki Al Athba, Khalid Al Yafei, and Abdullah Khalifa continue forward with determination, carrying the spirit of Team Qatar onto the fencing piste and sharing glimpses of their inspiring stories 🤺🇶🇦

من أسياد الدوحة 2006 بدأت الحكاية… رحلةٌ صنعت جيلاً من الأبطال، ورسّخت فينا أن الطموح القطري لا يعرف المستحيل.. 🇶🇦💪

واليوم، وبعد عشرين عاماً، يستعيد أسطورة الأدعم معتز برشم ذكريات البداية، بينما تتجه الرحلة نحو ناغويا 2026… بنفس الروح، والعزيمة، والشغف، لكتابة فصلٍ جديد من المجد.. 🇶🇦🙌

🎥📚 من قلب مكتبة قطر الوطنية، الصرح الثقافي والمعرفي الرائد، صُوّرت هذه المشاهد في أجواءٍ تجسد أن الرياضة والثقافة وجهان لعملة واحدة .

The story began at the Doha 2006 Asian Games a journey that shaped a generation of champions and instilled in us the belief that Qatar’s ambition knows no limits.. 💪🇶🇦

Today, twenty years later, Team Qatar legend Mutaz Barshim reflects on where it all began, as the journey continues towards Nagoya 2026 with the same spirit, determination, and passion to write a new chapter of glory. 🇶🇦🙌

عقد اليوم المؤتمر الصحفي للوفد الإداري للبعثة القطرية المشاركة في دورة الألعاب الآسيوية الـ 20 آيتشي - ناغويا 2026, بحضور ممثلي وسائل الإعلام الذي أعلن من خلاله عن عدد المشاركين والتفاصيل الهامة حول الدورة.

The press conference of Team Qatar’s administrative delegation for the 20th Asian Games Aichi-Nagoya 2026 was held today, in the presence of media representatives.
During the press conference, the delegation announced the number of participants and highlighted key details regarding Team Qatar’s participation in the Games.

تستضيف قطر بطولة العالم للرماية ISSF الدوحة 2026، خلال الفترة من 1 إلى 14 نوفمبر في مجمع لوسيل للرماية، بمشاركة نخبة من رماة العالم في منافسات البندقية والمسدس والشوزن، للتنافس على 36 بطاقة تأهل إلى دورة الألعاب الأولمبية لوس أنجلوس 2028.

From Doha to the Olympic Games Los Angeles 2028 🎯

Qatar will host the ISSF World Championship Doha 2026 from 1 to 14 November at the Lusail Shooting Complex, bringing together the world’s top shooters in rifle, pistol, and shotgun events to compete for 36 quota places for the Olympic Games Los Angeles 2028.
