Cand devii mai bun Kyokushin iti ingreuneaza viata.

My karate journey began at age 6. Like many children, I resisted at first: there were tears and reluctance, but my parents insisted—and today I'm grateful to them for that. Over the years, I learned the most important thing—to conquer my emotions, because inside, I was very vulnerable. My first coach always repeated, "Leave your feelings outside the tatami; they're holding you back." I thank my coach for the foundation and discipline he instilled in me.I grew up, forging my character through victories and defeats. Four years into my karate training, war broke out in my country, Ukraine. My parents had to make the difficult decision to leave everything and emigrate.
Finding myself in a new country, I began searching for my Kyokushinkai. But reality proved more complicated. In three and a half years, I changed eight clubs: taekwondo, kickboxing, ashihara... I would go anywhere, just to stay in shape, because Kyokushinkai was simply not nearby. It was a trying time. Some gyms ignored me, while others made me feel like an outsider. I became invisible. No one talked to me, and the coach at one of the clubs just sarcastically quipped, "Learn the language."
In 2023, we moved, and I couldn't find Kyokushinkai again. I went to Ashihara. I went to the competition, won three out of four fights, and took third place. The coach said that something was mixed up. Then I decided that karate was just a way to keep me in shape. My parents saw my dejected state and suggested I look for something else. A Google search finally revealed Kyokushinkai in my city.
At my first training session, I realized I'd come home. The teaching style, the atmosphere, the team—everything was perfect. The coach taught classes in two languages, and that was a lifesaver for me. Now I leave the gym exhausted but absolutely happy. My coach suggests going to a competition in Turkey, but family reasons prevent that. Time passes, and my coach suggests going to the European Championships; I didn't hesitate for a second. It's an indescribable feeling—knowing you're no longer a "shadow."......Continued below👇
