🎯 The objective is to support, advance and implement comprehensive policies to promote women’s full enjoyment of rights, gender equality, including work-life balance, equal pay between women and men, women’s empowerment and gender mainstreaming.

The call has four priorities (projects must focus on only one of them):

🔹Supporting work-life balance, equal share of care responsibilities, family-friendly policies among employers and the value of care sector jobs.
🔹 Promoting and supporting the implementation of the provisions of the Pay Transparency Directive and respect of equal pay for equal work and work of equal value.
🔹 Supporting equal participation and representation of women and men in economic and political decision-making.
🔹Tackling gender stereotypes in media and advertising.

The has adopted the new work programme 2026–2027 and published the indicative timetable of the 2026 calls for proposals. This means we now have a clearer overview of upcoming funding opportunities under CERV, the EU’s main instrument to protect and promote Union rights and values and support civil society organisations at local, national and transnational level.

The calls will cover key areas such as equality and rights, citizens’ and , and the fight against all forms of violence, including gender-based violence.

Have you heard the buzz about the next EU research programme, FP10? 🧐

The headline number is a massive €175 billion, but as someone who is deep in the trenches of EU funding with my clients, I can tell you the real story isn’t just about the money. It’s about a fundamental shift in how things will work.

For years, we’ve all felt the administrative weight and the long waits that come with EU grants. The European Commission has clearly been listening. The proposal for FP10 (starting in 2028) is a direct response to that feedback, aiming for a framework that’s not only bigger but also simpler and faster.

So what does that actually mean for your projects?

➡️ Simpler = More Lump Sums. For anyone who has spent weeks on detailed financial reporting, you know what a game-changer this is. The focus shifts from tracking every euro to achieving your project goals. Less time on spreadsheets, more time on actual innovation. 🙌

➡️ Faster = Quicker Decisions. The goal is to slash the time-to-grant to just 4-5 months. This would be huge for maintaining momentum and planning with more certainty.

FP10 might seem far away, but the strategic prep needs to begin now. Here’s what I’m telling my clients to focus on:

1. Get comfortable with lump sums. Jump into the remaining lump sum calls in Horizon Europe. Building that experience now will give you a major head start.
2. Align your long-term vision. Think about how your work connects to Europe’s big priorities: climate, digital leadership, strategic autonomy. Your future proposals need to speak this language.
3. Build smarter consortia. It’s not just about technical skill anymore. You need partners who can help take an idea from the lab all the way to society. Think complete value chain.
