A logo of a club, for some it is a simple necessity, but for me it has a lot of meaning. It actually took me multiple years until I was satisfied with the outcome.
First of all, the name, Dojo Shintaiki. This is a combination of the Japanese words shin 心 (mind), tai 体 (body) and ki 気 (spirit). In my opinion, with the right combination of these three pillars, you can achieve anything that you want in life (to a realistic extent at least). For an example it can be that you lack knowledge, certain strength and determination and that you need to work on one or more of these aspects.
Secondly, the torii gate. These gates are common in Japan and depict the line between the normal world and the sacred world. One should step through the torii with a pure soul. I would like to use this as a metaphor that when you train you leave the daily life behind you and focus on the training and clear your mind because of this.
Lastly, the mountain in the background, specifically Mout Fuji. Martial arts are not easy and require a lot of dedication. It's a journey that you take. Some parts are easier than others and some parts are very difficult. Similar to climbing a mountain. You will start at the bottom with a white belt and continue your way upwards facing hardships.
Fun fact, I actually climbed Mount Fuji twice in my life!
