🚨ROCKSHOX ZEB – IMPORTANT SAFETY NOTICE

SRAM a emis un buletin tehnic de siguranță privind anumite furci RockShox ZEB, după identificarea unei probleme de fabricație la brațe (upper tube).

CARE ESTE PROBLEMA?

Anumite tuburi nu respectă specificațiile de fabricație. În urma unui impact care provoacă extensia agresivă a furcii, siguranța (snap ring) a ansamblului pneumatic se poate deplasa, ceea ce poate duce la pierderea bruscă a presiunii de aer în timpul utilizării.

* RockShox ZEB Select

Numărul de serie se găsește pe partea din spate a coroanei furcii.

⚠️ CE TREBUIE SĂ FACI?

Dacă deții o furcă din modelele și intervalul de serie menționate:

* Oprește imediat utilizarea bicicletei.
* Verifică numărul de serie al furcii.
* Contactează un service pentru verificarea eligibilității și instrucțiuni suplimentare.

SRAM a instituit măsura STOP SALE & STOP SHIPMENT pentru produsele vizate și piesele de schimb aferente, în timp ce evaluarea continuă.

If your fork feels harsh / sticky, this might be for you.

Before changing your setup, there's something else worth checking 👇

The stanchions slide through a set of bushings inside the lowers. There should be a very small gap between the bushing and the stanchion. This gap allows the bath oil to form a thin film between the stanchion and bushing, reducing friction and minimising wear. If the bushing is too tight then oil can't effectively get between the two sliding surfaces. That means less sensitivity, more stiction and fork harshness.

Every fork that enters our service is checked for bushing problems. If necessary, we resize the bushings to restore the proper tolerances and ensure the stanchions run smoothly.

We use a burnishing tool to re-shape and resize both the upper and lower bushings allowing proper oil flow between bushings and stanchions.

The result: less friction, reduced stiction and increased small-bump sensitivity.

And the best part? Once your bushings are correctly resized, your fork will feel smoother for longer between service intervals. Because the oil is now able to do what it's meant to do, your fork won't start to feel sticky after only a few rides.
