The Duke of Edinburgh's International Award Romania - Cricket Timis, continuing its focus to bring the global best to youth of Romania was honored to have received the licence to offer the DofE awards program for youth between the age 14 to 25 years,starting this month.
The awards are open for youngsters, primarily in the Timis County, who would like to pursue an internationally recognized youth development program.
We are proud to be part of this international fraternity and hope to serve the Romanian youth by bringing the best of Human Engagement programs available in the world.
CRICKET COACHING Camp for Under 17 years.
Cricket Timis is planning to conduct it's first annual cricket coaching camp from 29th July till 9th August 2013 in Timisoara. The camp is in two categories
1. Basic Cricket - For beginners under 14 years of age
2. Advanced Cricket - For those under 17 years of age and with cricket experience.
The basic camp is limited to just 20 participants and the advanced camp to 15 participants. Bookings can be done on a first come first basis. The cost per person for the camp, including all equipments for use during the camp is 150 euros for the ten days.
Outstation participants will have to bear their own accommodation, travel and food expenses for the camp. Cricket Timis will assist them finding a convenient and safe place.
The coaching program includes combined practice, skill development, practice matches, video analysis of the participant and personality profiling. Coaching will be delivered by the Cricket Timis Coaching team, led by Rajesh Misca, Level 3, Accredited High Performance Coach from Cricket Australia and a member of ECB CA. Rajesh has also coached the Romanian national in two international tournaments.

Working with young talent's in a country like Romania, where talent is abundant, is like working on a blank canvas with unlimited supply of art materials. You can create wonders, if you have the will. Cricket Timis invites new talents to learn cricket in Timisoara.
These are two videos of Vlad Branda, a 10 year old youngster and new member of CricketTimis - Rising Stars team.
In the first video, you can see him going through some deliveries as he knew it. The second video shows his ability to learn quickly, understand and apply the nuances of bowling.
Romania has got many talents like Vlad. Finding them, grooming them and fostering them will result in future Rising Stars in Cricket for Romania.
Cricket Timis is happy to be playing a part in this journey.

Friends, I have put together a modified cricket game RAPID CRICKET. This game is focused on children with auditory challenges and can also be used for getting kids in to a fast paced, safe game of competitive cricket.
This is still work in progress, but the gist of it is this is a 6 overs a side game, with 6 players each team. Scoring is done using various visual cues set in the playing area.
Will soon be releasing the complete game format. To make the game more user friendly, I solicit any suggestions that you think will add a flavor to the game and improving the skills of the children. Remember, any suggestions made has to have the physical safety of all this kids as the prominent requirement.
