SPbU Ultimate Club

It's been a while since we posted something, but now it feels like the right time to come back: last weekend our boys won bronze medals at the final tournament of Russian College Nationals! We've never been in the semifinals before. Way to go!

Hooray! Our boys are taking home bronze medals! That's the greatest achievement of our men's team so far!

And our girls... well, for now they are taking home lots of mistakes to learn from and a huge desire to come and get 'em next time around.

Summer camps are easy... but how about a winter camp? We spent the first week of February in St Petersburg suburbs doing yoga, lifting, functional training and A LOT of ultimate. In the spare time there was some table tennis, trivia games and motivational movies (Chasing Sarasota for instance). It was fun! Was it useful? We're gonna find out this weekend at the Best tournament (that's the name, cheeky, right?) in Belgorod. Meanwhile, here are some pictures.

Happy post tournament faces! There were 12 teams participating, our A, B and C teams finished 4th, 8th and 11th. On we go!

The very first tourney of the season. Mixed, indoors, 5x5.

On the 1st day of October we're taking part in our first tournament of the season! As it's pretty cold outside already, it's gonna be indoors, 5x5 and mixed. Perfect opportunity for rookies to feel the game and for vets to show how it's done.

The International Day of University Sport is celebrated annually on the 20th of September. So we attended the opening event of the SPbU sport season. There are 22 sport clubs in our university, and we're happy to be a part of this community!

And our season has officially started! Today at practice there were more rookies than returning players and that's awesome! Hope everyone enjoyed themselves 'cause we did for sure 😊
