剣道における新旧面技の比較
新；現代剣道（大股押出し引手押手面）
　　古流剣術の足捌きと同じく、
　　軸足（左足）で跳躍するが、
　　この現代剣道の面技は踏み込みが遅いので、
　　右足は面打ちに至る過程では、
　　何の役にも立っていない。
旧；幕末剣道（抜きっ跳び鞠付き面）
　　近年まで、“九州の遠間の剣”と恐れられていた。
　　千葉栄次郎の神速な面技はこの方法と推測する。
