Despite Carlsen's 'monumental blunder' during Move 26, Anand loses game.

Round 7 will take place after a days break, we hope Anand come out strong and make another comeback.

14th Novemeber
Result - Draw (39 Moves)
Carlsen managed to hold Anand for a draw in a relatively short game, in which the latter was playing with the white pieces.

Round 6 will take place tomorrow ie. 15th November, with Carlsen playing with White pieces.

The World Championship 2014 is evenly poised after 4 Rounds with both Anand and Carlsen having 2 points each.

With 13th November being a rest day, all focus will be on 5th Round that will take place on 14th November, with Anand playing with White pieces.

The World Chess Championship 2014 is a match between the current world champion, Magnus Carlsen, and challenger Viswanathan Anand, to determine the 2014 World Chess Champion. It is being held from 7 November to 28 November 2014, under the auspices of the World Chess Federation (FIDE) in Sochi, Russia.

The Championship match consists of 12 games and if necessary, tie-break games.

Defending champion Viswanathan Anand's wait for the first win over Magnus Carlsen will continue as Game 7 and 8 of the 2013 World Chess Championship too ended in a draw.

The Norwegian leads 5-3 after eight games and maintains a two-point lead after registering wins in Games 5 and 6.

There will be a rest day on Wednesday and the players will return to action on Thursday for Game 9. Anand would be looking for a win to keep our hope of retaining the World championship for yet another year.

World champion Viswanathan Anand struggled again with his white pieces and suffered a painful defeat against challenger Magnus Carlsen of Norway in the fifth and sixth game of the World Chess Championship.

Defending champion Viswanathan Anand survived by the skin of his teeth, steering the fourth game of the World Chess Championship to a gruelling draw against Magnus Carlsen of Norway, on Wednesday.

With eight games still to come in the 12-game affair, the scores are tied at 2-2 and the battle is really heating up if the last two games are any indication.
